Massive traffic delays...

This is potentially Spurs related if implicates the kick off but we're currently sitting in total gridlock on M11 approaching Loughton and apparently further delays on A406 so traffic in is going to be a nightmare and with only an hour and a half to kick off can't see us making it.

Plenty of other Spurs fans stuck in cars alongside us.

Can anyone advise if any news comes out about a potential delay in kickoff!?

Thanks

An hour later and I'd guess we've done 5miles at the absolute maximum. Gutted if we miss the kick off but not looking good at the moment!! :-(

I was actually by the Hartlepool team bus, that was why it was called off!

The annoying thing was there was no accident on the M11 it was down the North circ near Ilford! Between them the police and the highways agency caused it to be 10 times worse than it needed to be.

That's terrible. I was wondering why there were so many empty seats.

I sat for two hours and got in five minutes after kick off, never got to eat and never got to the pub worst first game ever. The accident was before midday, it is now 8:00 PM and it is still closed and they are still letting people onto the M11 to join the four hour queue. No doubt it was all cleared within an hour or two but then the "investigators" would have moved in.

I called the highways agency complain that they were letting people along the M11 to join the queue, they told me they were letting them as there was an exit at the bottom to join the west bound north circ even though the wait is circa 5 hours!

in short they are ****s who couldn't give a fuck!

I sat on the M11 for 4 hours and missed the game!

Same here, missed my first home game in over 6 years

Damn annoying thing was that by the time we had joined the traffic jam, there was no other way off the M11, if only they had let people know sooner we could have taken alternative routes like the M25

I managed to make the game as left early but saw the poor man who unfortunately lost his life lying in the middle of the road with a sheet over him.

I would of hated to miss the game but then let's all spare a thought for the poor man and the family he left behind :-(

What happened on the M11? Getting the bus up the high road to the ground I could see lots of smoke to the east of Tottenham.

Feel sorry for the man who lost his life and his family.

The thing that really pissed me off though was the traffic management, or in this case, the lack of traffic management.

I joined the M11 at Stansted and not once along the way was one of those big expensive traffic signs used to warn people of delays in joining the 406, if they had have been used, I could have taken at least 3 other routes that I know of to the game.

You joined the same place as me and again no warnings given.

I then pulled off at the logistics centre just after Loughton which is an Olympic holding centre. I done that because I know there is a very short one way street behind there, even given its one way you could easily nip down and get away. What did I find, yep the police blocking off this very short road even though its never used so that they could send you straight back onto the M11 again and into the carnage. But what really fucked me off was when I was talking to the copper the guy in the car behind me was obviously an off duty copper who showed them his warrant card and they let him nip off the wrong way down that one way road so that he could get off!

wankers!
