Marcus Edwards might easily have wound up on the sizeable scrapheap of football's failed wonderkids. He was hailed as Tottenham's future and likened to Lionel Messi at 17, then jettisoned at 20 with a reputation for being difficult and only a breezy cameo in a cup tie against Gillingham to his name.

Sometimes players just need different surroundings. Maybe the Prem is not for him? He had I think one good moment against us, which makes sense as he probably was fired up wanting to prove a point. Good luck to the lad.

I think he could earn himself a move to a team outside of the Top 6 potentially next summer and then see how he fares

Even though he's now at his second club, since leaving us on a free transfer?

I read somewhere, I think Football London (so take of that what you will) that we waived the option to cash out on the fee and it moved across to the next contract.

Hope I'm wrong, but I can see Djed Spence maybe doing the same and similar articles being written. Hope Conte gives him a chance but it's not really his forte.

He comes across as quite shy, fair play that he made a move abroad so young and that it has worked out for him. Didn't we get some ITK a while back that he had some attitude problems though so we weren't too sad to see him go. Anyways if he has matured on and off the pitch then could be a Sancho situation, lets get him back one day if he fits with the manager at the time's plans.

The guy is obviously very talented and (I would assume) has matured as a player, so yes, I certainly wouldn't have any problem in welcoming him back.
