Say all you want about Mendes’ relationship with Wolves and Nuno, but a fair amount of his signings turned out to be successes. Only have to look at, Jota, Moutinho, Neves, Patricio, Boly, Jonny & Jiminez. All of them key players to their success in PL.

More recently you have Pedro Neto, Nelson Semedo, Daniel Podence. How many of those above would start in our team right now? Plenty.

Their most recent season in the championship and winning it comfortably - Costa (5G, 6A) & Cavaleiro (9 G, 13 A) were both instrumental players in the season they got promoted. Both now gone and sold for profit.

Sure they also signed Silva from Porto in a big money deal (for the future), but the fact he is being labelled a flop already at 18 years old is purely down to the expectation that was put on him when their best player got injured for the remainder of the season!

It’s easy to label Mendes a crook who is involved in shady deals but what agents aren’t these days? The reality is, the majority of his work with Wolves has helped them get to where they’re at now.

I reckon Levy has told him he needs to get to Level 50 of Tottenham Turfies before he’s allowed to spend any money.

If we go for Tomy and corona that would tell me that Harry is Indeed on his way to city. Spurs wouldn’t spend on two players for RB if they’re also going to fill the other priority positions
How many times has it been said that Paratici likes to have several deals going at the same time, for the same positions?

We could be "close" on both of them, or neither of them. And, in the end we may only be signing a single RB - where ever Paratici finds the best value, relative to the other deals he has cooking.

Aurier and Doherty both have for sale signs so we would need a replacement

He could be on the phone to literally anyone. His mama, the Chinese takeaway, Dave grohl, the pope. ?

If he's on the phone with the pope, ask him for a CB for Tottenham please. If for Chinese, recommend #4 on the menu, it's good. If to Dave grohl, doubt he can help Tottenham get a CB. If it's to mama, hope Mama keeps reminding him to always be closing.

Based on nothing but current noise, Paratici makes me confident that we’ll set up on August 15th with a superb first 11 and a very deep, quality squad.

As said by others, as long as Daniel has just given him the remit and said parameters and said fill your boots, he could work absolute wonders.

Last season was bitterly disappointing especially considering where we were just before Xmas but add Skipp, Sess and a reborn Dele back to our squad and were not too far off.

Some proper coaching on a couple and obvs upgrades in defence and depth of some parts of the squad and I’m pretty chirpy TBF

Wolves always seemed to do well at home to City. Catch them cold. We beat them at home last season with Jose ball. All gravy in N17.
