We should’ve built the statue the second we saw Dier off the team sheet.

If that Romero red and VDV injury hadn’t happened I honestly believe we would be top now by some margin. What a transformation.

It would be the biggest crime in football history if the board doesn’t back him in January. Not expecting the world, but give the man some extra tools that’ll tide us over until the summer. There is no other option.

I said this in the winter transfer thread - but I think the smart move is to make sure we get the players we need - even if that means waiting for the summer. Last thing we need is players who don't fit, and can't contribute to Ange's style.

I’m not expecting much in Jan. Maybe a central defender and a loan. It’s the summer where I want to see some serious business done.
Every signing has to count now. We can't be signing on 5 year deals decent but limited players just to plug an injury/AFCON gap during January and February. 6 month loans only for that. Everything else has to be a bona fide upgrade that fits the right profile. No flabbyness from here on.

In this moment of overwhelming emotion, I need to express the profound impact Ange has had on both me and my 11-year-old. After enduring years of disappointment, Ange's wonderful style has become a lifeline, allowing us to rediscover the joy in football. It's not just about wins; it's about feeling worthy as supporters, and that feeling is indescribable.

Tears of joy are streaming down, and in this flood of gratitude, I want to extend heartfelt thanks to Daniel Levy for giving Ange the chance. The decision has not just revitalized our club; it's mended something deep within us as fans. Ange, your influence has brought back the magic we thought was lost, and for that, our gratitude knows no bounds. Every moment is cherished, and we're eternally thankful for this renewed sense of belonging with our beloved Spurs.

Exactly. We’re just not going to get the quality required in Jan. We
Might in one area, but that’s all we can hope for.

Who cares what they say, Ange certainly won’t. They always need something to say or an angle to run with.
yep.

At the end of the day it's just noise. We need to remember that.

Pochettino will now be the focus. He will get fired and they will move on to their new guy's style and big it up/critique it etc etc.

As long as us Spurs fans know what is going on and are happy that's all that counts

I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a Spurs manager pick a better 11 from what he had available today. Gio was unlucky, But everything he did was for a reason and those reasons worked. Hats off.

Give him a striker and a CB in jan and we will finish top4
Hope it’s good quality aswell, seeing names like jota and Lloyd Kelly don’t really seem that great, if that’s who Ange and the team want then that’s fine but they seem more like squad fillers than challenging the first 11.

Sarr n Richie coming in were crucial to this win, but the way we set up is all Ange

and today we got to see again how sexy Ange's style of football can be when the players are good enough and can execute what Ange expects

The midfield interplay between Biss Sarr n Deki combining with Porro and Destiny were smooth and penetrative

Richie pressed so hard and well and worked his socks off and deserves his goals, such a weapon to have to have 2 different no 9’s

As Jamie Redknapp said in commentary, Ange just keeps things simple and makes decisions that make sense.

Of course tactically he is brilliant, you don't get teams playing like we do without being an elite level coach and tactician but in terms of team selections etc it is refreshing to have a Manager who makes sensible decisions with the players he has available, not like Poch playing Son LWB or Conte and Jose either trying to be too clever or simply not picking our better technical players and giving them a platform to play to their potential.

Love it.

I agree. I think sometimes fans pay too much attention to what pundits and other fans are saying.

The whole tactically naive narrative that has followed Ange around since his appointment is just lazy.

We have only conceded more than two goals in a single match this season twice- away to CIty where we drew and home to Chelsea where we were down to nine men.

In fact if it weren’t for that Chelsea match we would have a goals conceded record as good as virtually anyone other than Liverpool and Arsenal. Even just a couple of goals fewer in that match would mean we would have a record more or less comparable to anyone other than the top two. Given the injury to VDV and the Romero suspension that’s quite remarkable really.

Last season we were 15th in terms of goals conceded. Only the three relegated teams plus Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest conceded more than us. Right now we’re 9th.

Love that, "from the least watchable to the most watchable". so true.

Without going too overboard in all my 30ish years of watching Spurs I think that at times this team plays the nicest on the eye football I've ever seen. Peak Poch was very good at times as was peak Redknapp but there is something about the way we play right now with the quick passing and moving which is the closest style we've ever had to our famous 'push & run' side and it warms my Spurs heart to see us play like this.

Thank you Ange :)
