Happy everyone's excited, but sounded like pretty standard stuff, right down to mentioning how fantastic the club is...twice. not a knock, but it's hardly stand up and salute material.

What else is he supposed to do? Start screaming north london is lilywhite while battering an Arteta pinata with a baseball bat?

Actually that'll be pretty cool.

Its a welcome video what do you expect a 3 minute rendition of Ange singing Sinatra's "I did it myyy wayyyyy"

Chin up and maybe just enjoy it for what it is, a positive likeable manager who wants to play football that we will be excited about and that fits with the DNA of our club.

Happy days, enjoy the journey.

Oh god...he said the word proud
Before the video came out I was genuinely wondering if before they recorded it Levy, or one of the video guys, would've had a quiet word:

"Uh...Ange...FYI you might want to avoid saying anything about 'making the fans proud' in this one. Maybe just avoid using the word 'proud' all together? Ta"

I was hoping he’d turn back time to 31 May 2019. Very disappointing. 1/10.

Haha. No, everything he said was exactly what you'd expect out of an intro video, which was my point. Looking forward to watching his team play fun football, but just thought the excitement over the video was a bit over the top.

Nothing whatsoever against Poch or any other non-native English speaking managers, but it is kinda nice to have a manager whose first language is English again. Conte especially was constantly struggling to fully express the depth of his ideas in pressers and interviews due to his limited English, and Poch also often slipped into the use of repetitive phrases, as anyone who hasn't mastered a second language typically does (I say this as a mediocre spanish speaker myself who does exactly the same thing).

Also from listening to interviews it feels like Ange hasn't been conditioned to speak in a slew of English football clichés like many UK managers have, or the alien-speak that US "soccer" coaches use.

Just feels refreshing to have an Aussie coach, basically.

Not downbeat at all, actually quite happy to have ange on board. The fawning comments on the video just struck me as funny considering it's basically the same message any new manager gives at any club.

He did, and the crucial difference is I believe he means it
Ironically I actually thought Nuno really meant it 2 years ago, even if he completely lacked the ability to pull it off. He seemed like he was about to cry in that video - probably still in shock he'd been offered the job in the first place.

Love how he emphasised how we're going to set off in a new direction and PLAY FOOTBALL.

We haven't done that for over 4 years so will be beautiful to have it back.

Good video from one of his star playmakers at Brisbane. Bracing myself this season for all those who whined about uncompromising defensive football to start whining about uncompromising playing out from the back...

Weirdly enough, i heard it and thought, "Good for him. That wasn't generated by the PR department and sounds off the cuff. That must mean he thinks there are more important things to be focused on at the moment." So i was quite happy with how standard it sounded.
