We have to do better 2nd half. HK needs to read the riot act. There is nothing worse to a fan than a team apparantly "giving up" or "not giving a toss". We HAVE to improve.
Strange performance from our team when several players could enhance their first team opportunities, why are we so short of endeavour.

Lets be honest Keane and Wilson have been head and shoulders above any other players as being the worst tonight.

I actually think this is a game for Crouchy, we have got in some nice crossing positions but have no target to aim for in the air.

btw, wtf is up with keane? he had a rest on saturday and still looks the slowest player on the pitch!

I see i'm not the only one who thinks he's been dire tonight Michey

I'm normally super critical of our performances and the way but I honestly think we've played ok, we've got ourselves into good attacking positions but haven't made the most of it. Bentley, Keane, and Palacios have looked off form while jj has been indecisive. That's the difference, people may laugh at darren gibson and anderson but there is a reason they play for Man U. Between them they've taken the game by the scruff of the neck in a way none of our central midfielders are able to.

Wow... great performance, odd comments.

Keane and Palacios look a bit out of sorts plus the midfield is not protecting the defence in the centre but otherwise really impressive.

Great movement by Hutton and Bale. Fluke result.

Agree with everything you said, strange people are saying we are playing so badly. Must be because Keane and Jenas are in the middle of some of the things that have gone wrong.

No duuuuurrrr!

We have to ignore the fact we're actually knocking it about well, dominating posession, creating better chances and looking the better team!

Hell fire and knobstone its all going to buggery, man has hair and man did bad cross!

Kill them and unless they bleed drown them in money!

(i still hate you guys)

(im going out)

Lots of anger flying around.. surprised no one has slated Defoe yet as he probably should have finished one in that half :)

To be fair they were good finishes by Gibson, but we can have all the possesion in the the world it we cant get a our final ball right then we dont have a chance. Looks like a training ground game out there. We need some urgency and some quality balls in!

Said in jest or not, I'm starting to believe this...

Jenas off for Huddlestone and Bentley off for Rose. Get two natural pacy wingers on and have them run at the full-backs. Only joy we're getting is down the wings.

Not in jest in the slightest. He creates several chances a game, presses more than he's given credit for and most importantly controls our play.

He just looks clumsy, so everyone gives him shit.

We have given the ball away TWELVE times under absolutely no pressure whatsoever. Watching this is actually making me feel quite ill; how can a team of professional footballers be so lacking in creativity? Surely they can see the gaps in their defence, and simply kick the ball through it?

Watch how the United players pass the ball to each other (when they have it). Every pass, bar none, is firm and into feet-they literally kick the ball harder to each other than our players do, and that is why they are so much more clinical than us.

Huddlestone has got to be brought on as he is the only one that has the potential to spot a pass and play it-neither of the two centre midfielders out there have got a clue how to get a team moving from back to front, and to be overrun by an Irish sub and Anderson who is the most primitive player ive ever seen is embarrasing.

After all the talk, and performances to back the chat up in the past few weeks, that we're losing this game through a lack of belief is just so, so upsetting.

I'm actually looking forward to losing at OT and not blaming the ref. It's refreshing...

Very poor CM tonight

If Defoe still weren't such a greedy **** we would have scored.

ahhhhh, flavour of the week

if i post like this maybe i can get som friends..........looser

So in your eyes Keane has been the problem in the first 45?? If you don't know anything about football i suggest you do something else for the rest of the game

He hasn't played well though. I am not sure why instead of defending him, you just try and put down people. Yes they overreacted but this is the instant match thread. He has looked out of sorts and low on confidence. Yes, Defoe should maybe have passed for the block, but he was six yards out and he is a goalscorer. You could equally say what was Keane doing when Defoe put him through.

Harry has to change this now. I would take Keane off for Crouch and Bentley for Huddlestone; move Lennon to the right, Jenas to inside left to create space for Bale and Huddlestone and Palacios in the middle. This isn't over; unless they score again.
