Son's been pretty lively i thought.

Eriksen has gone backwards again sadly. Come on Christian, grow a pair of clinkers and get stuck in you nob.

Dembele has been beastly, but with no end product yet.

Kane owes us a goal after that mistake, he's been dogshit this half.

Hate the games where our back four are constantly passing back to Lloris, mainly because he usually spaffs it up.

Man U are NOT a particularly good side. But unfortunately we aren't either.

We're so lacking in technical quality up front it's infuriating. Theres far too many of our midfielders that need 2/3 touches to control the ball properly. Alli, Son, Wanyama and Dembele who just holds the ball for too long.

Need to get Winks on ASAP.

The lack of understanding/appreciation on here for Alli's movement belies an ongoing agenda. Yeah, his constant flicks/tricks are frustrating, but without him occupying the United defence, and actually making a move to mix things up and provide options, they could put four wheelie bins back there and keep a clean sheet.
I really struggle to see what his best position is. I find him a very enigmatic footballer. He is too clumsy in possession for me but like you said his movement is good and is what gets him goals.

I honestly think we could try him as a striker and work on his finishing because for me he clogs things up when he plays deeper. His first touch and his passing isn't consistent enough. As you said his movement is very clever and he is also big enough to be able to play with his back to goal as well.

For me he should either be tried there or perhaps as a CM in a 4-3-3 alongside a holding player and a playmaker where he can drive into the box.

I appreciate the kid is young and he shows flashes of real talent but I don't think we are using him quite right.

We went into half time at the library 1-0 down and started off the second half quickly. Penalty - 1-1. Had chances where we should have gone ahead all in about 10-15 minutes. We require that now.

Most of their best play and the goal were from our own undoing at the back.

Tighten up and show some more quality around the box. As it has been in most games we play between boxes decent enough but it's always someone taking too many touches, running into an opponent, crossing wildly etc that messes it up.

They'll inevitabley tire with a few older players and less rest.

Just need to take our chances when they come

I think the good news is its only 1-0 and we are still in it

We were so poor first half that we couldn't have complained had we found ourselves 3 down

Hopefully Poch can make a change or 2 and motivate the troops to come out better second half

I'd be delighted if we could snatch a draw today and just stop them making ground on us

Then why was Pochettino clearly instructing Wanyama to be further back earlier?

Exactly, he does it when required. Dier sometimes got ahead of Dembele last season, this really isn't the issue.

Just look at the difference in transition between us and Utd.

The problem is that Dembele bumbles around with his head down triple checking every pass for quality control.

I'd rather see that and get winks and moose interchanging.

There's no progressive engine to our game in the middle.

Not watched the game but sounds like the inevitable turn up to Old Trafford and shit ourselves at the thought of playing well.

Same old Spurs, they never let you down.

I totally think our issues are in attack... slow build up, not putting the ball into dangerous areas when we have the chance and our main striker not taking good positions to score goal

If I was interview Poch i would ask some very hard questions about our attacking training and what we are trying to accomplish as I just looks like we have no idea or vision in the final third

I think three at the back leaving Walker and Rose free to attack might be best when playing top teams

We need another plan when playing out the back- almost all teams press us heavily and we lose possession. We also need an outlet on the left to stretch Utd, otherwise eveything gets absorbed in the middle. Kane needs to sort his shit out- his fault for the goal and that shot was fucking dreadful
