I'm sorry but those saying it was a friendly tell that to the Man City players who played it with actual pace and intensity, you know testing themselves before the season starts in 2 weeks you know showing their professionalism

Compared to our 15+ fuckwits who couldn't be arsed to even attempt to play or string a pass together or match Man City in any way or form for those thousands of fans who were probably having their first chance at watching spurs, it's an embarrassment pre season or not.

I'm not even annoyed because we lost I'm annoyed because we couldn't be arsed to try and entertain those fans.

The attitude and cockiness on display by our team today was ridiculous talk about earning the respect to play we couldn't be bothered to earn it they actually couldn't be arsed to get out of first gear for those fans.

You could see it in some of the players last year at time they had a bit of

Do you know who I am? In them.

Eric Dier is one of the main examples he literally believes he's Roy Keane. The bloke got pussy whipped by Ander Herrera. Sit down shut up and let your football do the talking rather than your mouth Eric.

Alli another one who at times literally thinks his shit does not smell. Anyone touches him he believes it's his divine right to have a free kick. When kompany gets home tonight poor dele will be so far in his pocket he's going to have to phone the fire brigade to get him out.

Seeing a lot of petulance when things don't go our way also toys go out of the pram then it's the surrounding the ref and sulking

Also completely different midfielders who offer completely different things. Dier is still a good, important player. His sometimes slack passing and a poor preseason doesn't change that.

What about his lack of dynamism, hiding from the ball when we are pressed, inability to move with it and slack passing of the last two seasons?

He's a CB, and he's got learning to do there, he needs to concentrate on that, not his Phil Jones CM impression.

One of the shittest performances of the last few years without a doubt.

I know it's preseason but lets not kid ourselves here, every one of our rivals have strengthened considerably and aren't done yet. Meanwhile we are looking sluggish and tepid in attack. Our squad is so weak compared to the rest of the top 6.

Wimmer, Trippier, Davies, Dier and Alli were particularly shit tonight. If I had to muster up a positive then I'd have to say Nkoudou looked lively, Walker Peters looked ok and erm... No that's it.

Gonna be a struggle to muster up a bed time wank tonight.
Power through my friend it's the preseason. The wank you do tonight will show dividends when the games are...errr...coming thick and fast, as it were.

We missed wanyama for this exactly wanyama does not hide when we are pressed, Dier when we are pressed you will see him run to a man near to make it look as if he's marked so he can't receive the ball then if he does get the ball you know what's coming that's right HOOOOOOOF

People are majorly underestimating the improvements City have made. They will walk the league this season imo.with bravo in goal we'd have scored twice tonight. And they will go very close in CL.We really wanyama presence against quality opposition and Son trickiery and pace.Have to say Dele looks way off the pace,I hope his bulking up hasn't taken away some of his agility. But on the whole I'm not too worried I was expecting that tonight.

So I guess if City are going to walk the league you will be happy with another third or 4th finish?

If that's the level above they are at we need to find a way to get to that level.

I'm was at the match, our performance was every bit as shocking as it looked. We were comprehensively outclassed, the only solace is that it was preseason. The players need a rocket up their collective asses, they were abject tonight.

It'll be interesting to see how City keep that squad happy.

Seems everyone thinks City are going to walk the league we may as well just pack up and head off home. It's not as if we've challenged for the league for the last 2 years.

Sell the lot, because if you guys don't believe in them and throughout the season you are going to play the

"Poor old Tottenham we can't spend like the others" card there is literally no point, as you are getting as bad as levy himself.

We either start acting like a big club or trying to be realistic challengers or we accept what we are a profit making business and go back to midtable mediocrity.

Never seen a fan base like it we've came second and third in the last two seasons but now because the other teams are spending millions we are all waving the white flag that's not the Tottenham way.

They just beat the European champions 4-1. Do you think Real Madrid care? I doubt it because they know it's a pre-seasons friendly. Let's see how the players do in a meaningful game before going totally doolally.

Pochettino after the game: "Maybe today they have a bit of an advantage - they're ahead of us because they sign and they keep the players they want."

Wooops..
