Was chatting to a couple of Aberdeen supporting mates who were out there for their tie against Athletico a couple of years back and they said that Sol and Plaza Mayor were where everyone congregated. They are pretty close to one another and it's where most the bars are. But then again they were heading to the other end of town to the Bernabeou, but the Metro system is pretty good, and inexpensive.

Just spoke to Thomas Cook. Most unhelpful bunch of fucking pricks I've ever had the misfortune to deal with.
My mate is not booked up, they are refunding the second charge and it is now so late that all other flights are fully booked. Wankers.
I'm still going though.
So, if anyone is in Madrid and hears of people needing tickets, I've three spare in the Real section (sector 109) just below the Spurs fans.
Face value €135 each, just wanting my money back.

Thanks Jim - will advise my mate, though I suspect it will be difficult as he could only get the day off, hence looking at Thomas Cook and SportOptions deals.

Just tried ringing real madrid ticket office to ask why money hadnt been taken from my account yet. Its an automated message and I dont understand a word of it. Anyone have a number I can call which will take me straight through to a human?

I've got to be up at 3.30, so whilst there is a certain amount of excitement, it's tempered by the fact it's such an early start.
