Well we bucked the trend of losing these type of games but we were determined to make hard work of it and make us fans suffer. Should have been 3 up after 7 minutes and then criminally went down to 10 men. I don’t think we can deny now that Postecoglou has firmly put his stamp on this team/club. Regardless of how any game is going you can see the players believe they will ultimately be successful. A huge sea change in attitude in such a short period of time.
Bissouma has been brilliant this season but 6 yellow cards( 2 leading to a red) in 7 and a half games is unacceptable especially when nearly half of those were avoidable( dissent, diving etc). Postecoglou has to have a word.
There was some very good performances today, Kulusevski who ran himself into the ground, and VDV were excellent.
Best start since 1960- begin to believe.

Easily could've had that game won after 10 minutes. Went exactly as I thought it would after those missed chances.

Fairplay to Luton they grew into the game after that and were unlucky in the end.

Happy to get away from the early kick-off with 3 points can enjoy my weekend now.

The most annoying first half under Ange, the most satisfying second . We should have been 4 up, Bissouma was foolish, none of it matters we won. That’s different.

I think it's more to do with having a solid and reliable partner. He doesn't feel the need to jump in all the time, knowing VDV is there to cover and mop stuff up. Last season he must have felt like it all depended on him.

Romero’s growth this season from a yellow card waiting to happen to a calm and considered player has been such an important part of our overall improvement

Big difference is the calm assured defending of VdV compared to Dier

Actually think the international break has come at a good time for us too. Top of the league, off the back of some good well fought results, now time to slow it down a bit and come back in a couple of weeks.

As much as I hate the break I think you’re spot on. More work on the training pitch with the players not selected can only be good. It looks like not getting Europe last season has given Ange a real opportunity to work. A blessing in disguise. We have been so used to being in Europe in some form that it felt disappointing but I’m pleased we didn’t now.

This is a process and currently we are well ahead.

But we will have days where things go wrong because the team is still quite immature.

We are not the finished article by far.

Be patient and give them time. They have earnt that.

You can't be crucifying players for the little weaknesses in their game, they are still growing.

Think it’s more about past memories than it is getting at the team to be fair. This type of win hasn’t happened in 4-5 years so people get nervy and that leads to some rash posting. That’ll change going forward if we carry on like this.

Unfortunately didn’t catch the game but obviously feared the worst when I saw the sending off and scoreline at HT. Absolutely buzzing to see we’ve won- have no idea how it went down but shows massive character to come back from that away from home in the PL and win.

Really hope we can get to the end of the international break with a stronger squad than we have now.

You would hope Lo Celso, Johnson and Gil would be fully fit. Son and Maddison have time to nurse their ongoing issue. Bentancur will be close to the bench too.

How were Luton unlucky at the end? We were clearly the better team and good value for the 3 points. They had one major chance and even up a man looked nowhere near scoring the final 20-30 minutes.

Not so sure, people still moaned under Poch. The better we get the higher the expectations and the more entitled people will get.
