The first half was poor, second half much better. A Fergie's United type of performance. The changes from Ange came a tad late but they were extremely effective.
Why was the first half poor? We were cutting through them with such ease, we just couldn't finish. I don't see how that is "poor"?

Might just be a good thing this young team has had to go through a game like that. Certainly builds character. Bissouma is a huge loss but I trust Ange to have a solution.

I did not understand why nobody else saw this. He was our most complete CM all match. Great all-around game from him.

Ended with 2 tackles, 3 interceptions, 3 successful dribbles - and just bags of energy when we needed it.
He struggled in the 2 man midfield and didn’t adapt. His performance went back up when Skipp came on as he was back in a 3

Yeah fantastic all round.

I thought Kulusevski was immense. Not everything came off but he put in some shift.

But Micky and Romero were magnificent.

We're building something special.
If Son got injured, i'd be really tempted to try Kulusevski up front with 2 of Johnson, Bryan and Solomon either side. And honestly, I even fancy Veliz as an option over Richarlison at the moment.

Fabulous win. We could and should have been 2-0 up after 10 mins. Bissouma's dive was blatent and idiotic. Inventive corner gets VDV his first goal and we managed the game pretty well to see it out.

We keep having things be difficult for us in one way or another but we still keep picking up points.

Best start to seaosn since 1960, trying to play the way we all want to see. Anyone that is criticising us as a whole at this point needs to sort their head out.

You won’t find any negativity in the match thread!

VDV deserved MOTD but for me I'd give it to Kulu. Ran himself into the ground. Was such an outlet for us at time and never gave them a moment's rest. Love him.
