I also had a Liverpool supporting friend and he too was a sensitive soul when it came to certain issues. I once told him I hate Kenny Dalglish - I may as well have told him I raped and killed his newborn baby. He just couldn't accept any criticism whatsoever about him. Literally none whatsoever. It's quite disturbing.

Reading twitter the last few days reinforces my view that far too many Liverpool supporters are disturbing. It's embarrassing. I know fans stick up for their players but the tweets are something else.
I have to say I'm not surprised though. I mean the way they hang on to their history and allow themselves to be convinced that they're still a top four side just shows how easily they can delude themselves.

His a total prick who needs some help with his anger problems but him upfront for us could make us title contender's so I'd have him in a flash.

I just can't imagine it happening at Spurs. Maybe I'm being naive but I just can't see us putting up with it. I remember Zokora diving to win a penalty against Portsmouth and fans being disgusted. More recently the threads on here slagging off Bale for possible diving goes to show that it's not the quality of the player that matters when it comes to wanting the game to played in the right spirit.

I do wonder though, fan blinkers are massive for all fans, I mean Defoe effectively did the same thing to Mascherno but no one really gave a shit. And had Rafa been with us when Sylvie dumped him for hitting her I wonder how we'd have all treated him. Not judging anyone, just honestly wondering.

Hutton was one of the few I really never liked as a Spurs player, really seemed like a shit. Good we got rid of Davenport when we did to.

The Defoe bite was weird and outrageous but more importantly a one off. If he constantly did stuff like that, and particularly kept on getting banned, he'd have got much more stick. Similar thing with Rafa, it appears to be a one off, but completely unacceptable nevertheless. Gazza's more of an example how hero status can paper over the disgusting wife beating cracks, but even then his alcoholism was used as an excuse, whereas Suarez generally never has one. It's never retaliation with him, he is a dirty fucker who initiates everything.

Fair points. Being banned for the second time for biting really is insane. I actually wish Defoe had been given a bigger ban at the time, I'd have been fine with it and it'd have stopped all these Liverpool conspiracy nutters. And he kinda deserved on really, a yellow for biting someone was very lenient.

Suarez does just seem like a cock though. In the heat of the moment I can see how you could do crazy things, like the handball he did at the world cup, I can totally see why you'd do that. These violent incidents he's always involved in are always very innocuous incidents, he just seems to be unable to not do it.

Would never have him in a million years. He's a wonderful player, would turn us in to serious contenders. But he, as a person, is filth.

The criticism of him limping after biting Ivanovic is misleading and wrong. He just goes into a normal Zombie swagger- they never walk straight after biting people.

I understand the dislike of Hutton, but Davenport?

No wait! Come back!

I'm not for a second saying that we could ever sign Suarez so let's not even go there.

But with him saying he wants to move to a Champions League team, and with Spurs potentially being such a team next season, it piqued my interest into what sort of player you'd accept at Spurs.

I think we can all agee that Suarez is a nasty nasty little beaver-faced scrotum who embodies almost everything that is wrong about modern footballers. He dives, cheats, whinges, flounces and on top of that he's apparently got the racist club in his horrible bag.

On the other hand he's a tremendously good player, so my question to you Spurs fans is what level of dickbag would you accept at Spurs in the pursuit of success? A lot of us pride ourselves on being a 'nice' team, but would you trade that for the quality that a player like Suarez possesses?

On your marks...get set....Discuss!

Yes to Suarez.

If morals guide you then you shouldn't be supporting football anyway.

Suarez is a tool and will do any level of scum it takes to win. But..... He's one of a very limited bunch we could get that old replace Bale.

Still isn't going o happen though!

I would go on a spurs hiatus for however long it took until he left the club. I would watch them as usual on TV and maintain my current fanaticism with all things football, but I wouldn't cheer when he scores, I wouldn't pay any of my hard earned money towards his wages through the club, be that through tickets or otherwise, and I would detach myself from the club as much as is possible.

And in 20 years time if my son says to me 'Did you ever see Suarez at Spurs when we won the league' I will just explain to him how some things are indeed more important, like principles, decency and self respect.

I said the same thing to a friend when questioned about what I would do if Di Canio became our manager.

Neg rep me you racist bastards!!!
