Maybe just be thankful we are linked with what is considered to be a fantastic talent?

Don’t get me wrong, he looks a real talent but for me it sums up our poor squad building approach.

We have a fantastic starting lwf but only a decent rwf. The starting 11 needs a big upgrade on the right side of attack.

We have Bergwijn to cover Son on the left, we have no one to cover Lucas. Signing a left footer for the right like Raphinha makes way more sense as Lucas then becomes a squad option, which improves our starting 11 significantly and our squad depth.

Never seen him being honest but everyone is excited so all good. Surely would force us into the 343 when our best displays have been with 3 in midfield.

Every window we put in an offer for a great player and the deal never materialises. Then that money that was available for said player doesn’t seem to be available for various other great players in the next window, until we put in a big money bid for a great player in a deal that never materialises.

It's funny and it's true.

Dybala, Martinez, Diaz. There is literally one every window.

Almost like the club bids knowing it will get rejected, to make it sound like we are trying.

Yeah, I'm well beaten after decades of supporting Spurs. Maybe one day one of these will come off.

Everyone I know who follows the Primeira very closely think he’s the best modern talent to ever play in the league (excl. Ronaldo and those further in the past obviously). Better than Bruno. Better than Joao Felix. Having seen him in the big games in the league and in the Copa, he is truly an world class level talent and player currently. Elite dribbling ability. He’ll pick up the ball and run forward no matter how many opponents are in his way. And succeed most of the time. He’s got immense flair and has a ton of party tricks in his bag. First touch and close control is top. Rapid pace. Has the vision and tries a lot of ambitious passes, which naturally leads to lost possession. But very ambitious final third progression a la fernandes. Very unselfish in final third. Hard worker of the ball. His ball striking has improved a ton the past 18 months, and he’s a long shot specialist. Think he needs to add some more variety to his finishing. Mostly power with laces. Sometimes struggles to generate curl when striking the ball. All in all, regardless of positional needs, this is one of the very best attacking talents in the world that should be completed at all costs if possible.

Great. Sounds like a Columbia Ginola. I'm sold.

Son is super two footed, he could prob move to the right with no problem

All the negativity all day myself included and then this out of the blue link to a player most of us had never heard of and it’s the best ever news and he’s a world beater.
Pathetic, I’m all in with bells. ???❤?

Do you think he could play as a striker?

Is the fact that we submitted a concrete bid reason for optimism? Seems like we are always in talks but we don't bid unless we feel confident. I could be way off though

In Conte’s 343 though these players are very narrow, pretty much 2 number 10s. You rarely see Son and Lucas out wide these days. The width is supplied by the wing backs. So whilst I get your point I don’t think it’s a massive issue.

Nah, don't believe it.

He would be phenomenal, I find it mindblowing, if they were willing to sell him we will not be the highest bidder.

Forget the talk of squad balance. Players like Lucas, Son, Bergwijn & Diaz can play either side and would likely switch during games anyway. Under Conte the wide players of the 3 are a lot more narrow.

This is a too good to be true deal.
