Lloris has admitted that Spurs are unrecognisable and could not be in a “worse situation” ahead of Sunday’s north London derby away to Arsenal.

If only we had someone on the pitch to speak a few harsh truths when necessary.

Attaboy Hugo, you lull them into a false sense of security and we'll smash 'em!

Hmm hardly a miracle. We beat Moscow away, no reason we can't again and beat Monaco away too (although trickier). Wembley is not home, wish this pretence would stop. All our champions league games are away games

Hugo has nailed it here "Leverkusen did not play a great game. They were just well-organised and had some chances because of us, because we made too many mistakes".

That said we certainly can go to Monaco and win. If we're back to full strength and we get our minds right then we're easily good enough to beat them.

Basically our back-up players - who should be biting at the bit have been awful this season.
1. Dier - Just not the player he was - I'd pick Wimmer and I don't care if it unbalances the two CB's - they couldn't be any worse than last night.
2. Davies - looked like he was playing schoolboy football last night.
3. Sissoko? A worse player in a Spurs shirt I have not seen for a decade. - Good grief - it's not the money that pisses me off - it's how shite he really is and that we got sucked into buying him. I'd choose Winks ahead of him every day of the week. The reason we got good was because we were playing young players with hunger and not mercenaries - That decision to buy him and play him kills the very spirit of what we were beginning to stand for, and as someone mentioned here last night - MoPo was too scared to pull off his marque signing - that is very worrying.
4. Son - Hit a hot spell - but both he and Janssen are simply proving how good Kane really is.
5. Where's Tom Carroll? Again at least he'd come on and do a job and fight for the shirt - he couldn't have played any worse than our front 3 last night.

God damn awful on various levels. MoPo has his work cut out as we are getting exposed for what we really are - insipid in the final third and nothing without a decent leader at the back TOBY - just shows how brilliant he is.

Could really do with a captain on the pitch. All fair and well stating the obvious after the game Hugo but we need someone on the pitch who can pull their sleeves up and rally the team, and pull them through nights like last night. I noticed that when we were in the tunnel and walking onto the pitch there was no geeing each other up. I firmly believe you need some talkers out there and strong characters, willing to call someone out if they are playing shite. We looked a shambles last night.

I hate to agree with a statement like this but I do. I thought after the first half on Wednesday we couldn't play that badly again in the second half but we did. I'm hoping we can't be that bad again at the weekend but sadly I'm not confident. Right now I'd be happy with a draw.

It's in moments like these that heros are born and history is made. I just hope that the eleven that walk out to face Arsenal recognise this opportunity.

Wenger has mentioned Arsenal have a good mentality at last. Whenever he says that they lose. I have faith

spot on hugo- missing our 3 big guns in Kane , toby and Dembele- nightmare scenario.

would consider bringing in Kev Wimmer, play dier in the middle with Vic- and try and keep it 0-0 as long as we can , spring Kane then from the bench.

putting my positive cap on, at least we are going in to this with little expectation, and a point to prove..

It seems some players are starting to believe their own hype, think they just have to turn up and things will just happen. Alli was trying to nutmeg every player that was near him even when a passing option was available to him, the same goes for the others; they were either scared or too greedy to make a telling pass in the final third.

Went to the game on Wednesday and could tell after five minutes that it was going to be a flat performance. There was no running or movement, no quick or incisive passing to stretch the opposition. Best player was probably N'Koudou and he only had 15 minutes.

The Man City win went to our heads. The work rate has dropped (where was the pressing yesterday?) and couple that with key injuries we are in the doldrums.

They need to get back to the basics of high intensity football and clinical, focussed decision making.

Have to agree about Alli. I love the kid but I keep hearing he has a 'good arrogance'. It has looked a bit more like just arrogance over the last few weeks.

He is still learning and to his credit, he gets in great goal scoring positions. But when he plays in that attacking role, he doesn't find enough space between the lines and for me it causes us to look hugely predictable at times. It's so important to break the lines.
