£76m for Higuain is overpaying.

But Pjanic, Benatia, Alves, Lemina and Pjaca all look very good signings.

If he scores 36 a season again and helps win the CL it isn't. It's the gamble Juve are taking. Once he sheds some pounds and gets working with Dybala and Pjanic he'll start repaying that cash.

I haven't seen much of Pogba in Italy but in the Euros he seemed to be trying too hard. He's obviously got huge talent but he struggled to really influence games.

Think he'll be a good signing for the long term but obviously massively overpriced.

Is the Pogba thing STILL not sorted yet? United need to get tough and do a deal or walk away, imo, else they'll drag up until the last few hours of the window then get their pants pulled down over a clause or fee - just like we used to.

If they have the money they should just throw it at them and say "that's what we got, you selling or are we walking away?" and stick to it. Right now, Pogba and his agent are 100% in charge (you know the club will never turn down the numbers being discussed here) and that's a shitty place for a football team to find themselves, held to ransom by an agent.

As @handinho (deserved a funny and a winner for that, but can only have one :) ) says, it's Woodward. I actaully really believe that. I've seen him being interviewed and getting all defensive, insisting he can get the big deals over the line. I honestly think he has became so obsessed with this that he can't walk away, is vulnerable and is probably doing what he is more for his own sense of satisfaction and vindication than for what is actually good for his club.

Just how it seems on the outside looking in.

Didn't realise Mourinho subbed off Mata in the 93rd minute after he'd subbed him on. He's claimed 2 things, that he was the smallest player and doing it as a tactical change because he was expecting long balls. Also, becuase he wanted to stop the game in injury time. Sounds like a complete load of bollocks to me. Even if you go with the whole smallest player/tactical change thing you'd expect him to do that as soon as Zlatan got his goal in the 83rd minute, not right at the bloody end of the game. Stopping the game is just balls too, you could take off anyone else in that instance.

He's clearly sending him a message. Quite insulting really, but I expect nothing else from that classless prick. If Mata wants to leave I'd certainly take him, he's got some real quality about him.

Apparently Mata exchanged words as he was leaving the pitch. I didn't see the match so can't comfirm, But i presume he will be leaving again soon.

Juve seem to be building for a CL run and seem pretty stacked to begin with so i guess they can over pay for a top notch striker. Higuain is a great striker, and if the fee had been £40m-£45m i think it would have been a good (if still pricey for a 29 year old) fee.

And Napoli did finish 9pts off Juve last season, 24pts the previous 2 seasons. Granted Napoli looked like it was getting better, but (currently) it is like a Hammer weakening it's rival the Nail.

Napoli could, in theory, do quite a bit with that money. I personally think they overpaid for Milik to replace Higuain but really like the Zeilinski and Tonelli signings. I know there is talk of them signing another player or two but it seems like the prices being quoted are just as stupid. Be interesting to see if they can add any more to the squad before the window closes.
Juve better avoid playing Higuain in the CL final if they get that far. He just seems incapable of handling that much pressure.

And that was just for announcing a medical! At least wait until it's signed, pic of him holding the shirt etc.

Mourinho is the biggest prick in football. Would love him to fail so much!!
I'm starting to find him endearing, simply because of how much he winds up Wenger and Arsenal fans. He's still a worldclass ****, but it's become a "enemy of my enemy is my friend" sort of situation.
