...West Ham’s struggling coach Sam Allardyce is the 13th best-paid manager in the world, his £2.95m putting him above Roberto Mancini (Galatasaray, £2.92m), Rafa Benitez (Napoli, £2.92) and level with England manager Roy Hodgson.
they can't afford to sack him methinks.
Sorry to quote a 3+ year post, but Christ, that was prescient...
Is his name Terry?Oh god......anyone listening to Talkshite? One of those cockle munching cretins has lost the plot !!!! Priceless.
Yeah......he was absolutely riddled with cockney. Is his name Terry?
I love terry, he is the best thing on talksport!Yeah......he was absolutely riddled with cockney.
I'm pretty sure he features at the very end of the video @Bobbins put up.
Some bloke from one of the committees was on SSN last night saying the retractable seating is going to be nothing like the Stade de France. He used words like tacky, cheap looking and ridiculous
We're getting an 600m stadium for a rent of 2.5m a year, that's like renting a 600,000 pound house for just 51 quid a week ... clearly that's a great deal, don't know what favours Ms Brady has performed on whom but she's got a right result. The problem is the 600m stadium is not and never will be a proper football ground, and that people like Mr Boff will continue to raise the subsidised rent issue every year. At some point that rent will be reviewed (10 years I think) and the danger is that we will be out on our ear with nowhere to go .....
Is it really a £600m stadium? I mean if they put it up for sale right now for that price to all premier league clubs would anybody be interested? What we're really getting is a stadium which has been massively overspent on but which still isn't suited for football.
Have you ever been to Arsenal and seen what it's like getting away from a 50,000+ stadium with limited walkways?
It will be easy to get away when we only have 15-20K in there and we're playing in the Championship.
Positives
Easy to get to
Will be able to pay on the door for every game
Negetives
Soul gone
Empty stadium
Thousands of Chinese , Bulgarians , polish ect
Atmosphere like emirates
Miles away from the pitch
Stadium looking like and athletic stadium
Away fans ripping the piss out of us at every home game
It was **** "defending" and the geezer looked like he was on a ****ing bungee rope being pulled backwards.
He ran in a straight line. Johnson backed off half the pitch, done nothing, let him shoot, goal.
Best description I have heard of that is like a dog being chased by a hoover
Best description I've heard is like 'a dad backing off and letting his 5yr old son score'
(His 200ib marauding son)
The most shocking thing is, that since we gained promotion we have added 2 players to our championship defence.. Rat and Collins... Now we have added a league 1 defender.. On loan!!
It was a absolutely awful piece of defending. Awful.
Pay peanuts and you get monkeys and at the minute we'd put Whipsnade out of business.
Surely no need for the warning. As enlightened members of our liberal society I'm sure we are all perfectly comfortable with the image of two big hairy fellahs sticking their todgers up each others arses and would not dream of suggesting otherwise. I welcome the day they make it compulsory. Long live freedom of expression, whoops I nearly said speech then.
Seriously I don't give a stuff about anyone's homosexuality but I don't much like the way that society has moved against anyone who dares to hold a contrary view, and how people are frightened to say what they might really think as they might be vilified or even jailed. Education is better than repression.
p.s. Is it still ok to condemn bestiality? How about incest, necrophilia, paedophilia?
so when he played he was 'der hammer' and now he's retired he's 'der hommer'
£600mill lol, its not that expensive, the real estate is worth alot but the stadium cost £250mill iirc, its a shit Olympic stadium anyway
I dont hate a newer stadium more than that one, have to go past it every fucking time I'm in london and it really pisses me off, the tories screwed that project up big time imoI have a sense of nervous excitement about their stadium move, I just can't wait to see how they screw it up. It's going to be amazing.
