No, it's sad. It's sad that morons are spoon fed crap and believe it.
Nearly every target we have been after (certainly this window), we have been after in the past. If anything, Liverpool have tried to sign players we were interested in first and whilst our focus was elsewhere and you know what...?! Fair play, it's an open market. Just like I have no real issue with Chelsea signing Willian, as it was petty really. They don't need him and the gloating by Chelsea afterwards was classless.
But AVB is KNOWN to have been interested in WIllian since his Chelsea days, it has been stated on these forums that we have been in contact with Ajax and Eriksen for 3 YEARS!!! Oh I could go on about all the other players but I shan't bore us al.. The fact is, it is easier to blame a rival club that do your homework and realise the bigger issue is the fact that Liverpool supporters cannot see that their club cannot bring deals over the line quickly enough, because they are not the pull they once were.
We have learnt painfully over years that you either steal a march and get in quickly, schmooze a player for a good while and sell a project and more 1st team time or lose out. How many players have we nearly signed over the years??
Anyway... I laugh at any fan, Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs (!), who cannot look past the BS and see where the issues lie and instead mouth off on the internet or down the pub at how shit another team is for buying a player. It's ignorant.

RAWK is always great entertainment. Half of them having a meltdown over how great we are, the other half having a meltdown over that half and they will shoot down anything Spurs.
They view Coutinho as a fucking god sent to them from the benches of Inter Milan and while he's a good player, it's hilarious how highly they view view him.
Also saw a guy basically say that the past doesn't mean anything when another poster mentioned how we have finished above them the last four years, which is great coming from a Liverpool fan posting on a website that universally called for Gerrard to show Willian their trophy room when it looked like we were signing him.
Don't even get me started on Liverpool fans on Twitter haha.

A Scally supporter just walked by our front gate as I was bringing the bins in, had to laugh he puffed out his cest and in all seriousness said we're back and in the race for the title......
I just laughed and told him that's brilliant and wished him and his team all the luck in the world (fingers crossed behind my back) he went off smiling and as happy as Larry......deluded or what!!

If you look back in this thread I posted about a friend's boyfriend telling me that Liverpool were still in the title race last Christmas. They are all like it.

I've known this lad for many years and he and his Scally mates always used to shout their mouths off about how good Liverpool were and how they're going to beat us. One game particularly sticks in my memory, it was '95 and we beat them late on at Anfield in the FA Cup when Jurgen Klinsmann scored in the last minute, I took the piss out of him and his mates that day let me tell you

The poor sod built his courage up for ages before approaching your bin. It was part of his mating ritual. He has to show to his prospective Scouse luv that he is a good provider by dipping a human bin in broad daylight. Just when he had the nerve to do it, had his eye-line set and was swooping on his prize, a fine tin of baked beans with three beans and some juice pooled just under the rim, you come out and ruined his swoop. He wheeled off with the familiar Scouse distress call Dare league, dare league...we're gunna win dare league dis yir.
