I'm not quite sure Haaland has quite refuted what TAA is saying there. The reason TAA hasn't '...had that feeling' is because it's not as regular an occurance at Liverpool as it is at City, and therefore of course it's going to mean more when it happens.

And put in another way, few of us fans care if City win the league, or the CL, or the FA Cup, because we just write it off. There's no romance, no underdog story, no success in the face of adversity. It's just another trophy which will be forgotten within 12 months, bought with endless riches. We hate it more when Liverpool (or Arsenal, or Chelsea) win something because we know it actually matters - and we love it when Wigan win the FA Cup because we know their fans will probably not see that again in their lifetime.
I'm undoubtedly in the minority here, but I'm sick of City winning the League. I'd be happy to see Klopp and Co stick it to them as a parting gift. I'm even 50 50 about the Goons beating City to it. Clubs doing it the "right "way instead of doped success.

Liverpool would be fine. Arsenal would not. Rivalry has to count for something

Seriously? Might be time to have a lie down.

I love the sentiment but forget Arsenal winning anything. No way I'm ever 50/50 on that

You are 100% right, but such is the irrationality of sport that I 100% want the grotesque sportswashing project to beat Liverpool, every fucking time. I can't help it, I can't get around it, I can't moralize it. Just fuck Liverpool so, so much - their vile fanbase, their sense of self-importance, the chip on their shoulder, their insularity, all of it. City being underdogs for decades until they suddenly weren't is a hard impression to shake.

And don't get me wrong, they absolutely suck, and their fanbase is developing a victim complex to match Liverpool's (maybe when your fanbase is booing both the PL and CL anthems you should start to understand the problem isn't them, but you). They represent a lot of what is wrong with football.

But they are not Liverpool.

It is also worth noting that the Super League, which is more structurally damaging than anything City have done, was inspired by the closed model of, and supported heavily by, Americans - who now own a large percentage of PL teams, including Liverpool. So while City's owners are reprehensible and worse, Liverpool's cannot be free of criticism either.

I think what Haaland is saying - the players don't see it that way - they care about winning, and don't get caught up in the fact that their team has a financial advantage.

This btw. The City players show up at training, work very hard and do their jobs. They're physically worked to their limit by Guardiola and team. Every success they achieve will feel very earned on an individual level. From the outside looking in, yes, it might be a lesser achievement because they have purchased more talented players, better coaches, etc. But those talented players are in it, and that's a different perspective. Call it a "can't see the wood for the trees" situation if you like, but I think Haaland's position is fair.

Just getting to the level to be playing for City is a massive achievement and you're right that the players will see it differently to a fan.

Oh yeah and that's a fair point too. Earning a move there is in itself a notable achievement.

wonder if we will ever see interviews after games spurs have played in that actually mean something..

Essentially calling the interviewer overweight is really classy behaviour. He behaves like a cretin nearly every time his team loses.
