Agree, or it’s a case of them being good or potentially good players who made bad career moves. It happens a lot, a player’s career stalls or tanks because he went to the wrong club.

Also they might become good with time. Poch and those players if they remain might in 2-3 years become decent if it’s purely lack of maturity that limits them due to their ages. The key ingredient for them might just be patience.

However Chelsea and their fans have been feed a diet of vast spending and instant glory. Due to FFP that is now out of the question. All successful clubs now like City, Pool are projects, long term developments built around a style. The Chelsea Abramovich model is out of date but their fans are used to sacking a manager then winning a trophy the following season with a new guy. They don’t mind eye bleeding Jose Football to win a FA Cup. Problem is this doesn’t really work anymore.

Some Chelsea fans even one I know well thinks they can sack Poch, get Jose and then when he fails sack him and get someone else. I had to explain the FFP situation and his view was they will ‘just find a way around it’. He wants Jose and lots of spending. I had this conversation only a few days ago, guy isn't even thick, he has just got so used to how Chelsea work he can’t see it changing, it just feels like he hasn’t accepted the change from Abramovich and FFP and I am sure he is very much part of the Chelsea mainstream.

This is why Boehly has to deal with, a Chelsea fanbase that expects lots of buying, instant success and doesn’t mind shit football. Boehy decided to go down the project route and get lots of young players for a long term build. What is happening at Chelsea is similar to what we had with Jose, the club and the fans have different ideas. They don’t mind shit football as long as they win. They don’t want a long term project they want to spend another billion and get Osimhen and the like.

All this Look at the Crap Bouehly brought in need to remind themselves what a decent manager can do with almost the same set of players and just the right philosophy.
I think the squad just needs some older, talented, experienced players and they will be flying. Plus of course they need a proper striker.

Fans turned on Boehly and Poch big time yesterday - can only mean one thing……Poch‘s days are numbered.

but but wait………they cannot afford to sack him and his whole backroom staff without doing even more damage to their already precarious PSR status,, so they’re stuck with him.

oh dear

how sad

never mind

:)

Todd Boehly is a…
I agree with pretty much everything Ian Watson’s article about Chelsea. That Chelsea away fans chant for Jose is mad, he stopped being a top tier manager around 10 years ago. But that people chant for him shows the dissatisfaction with the club. Very understandable, but vent your fury in the right direction

There is no manager alive that could succeed at Chelsea under the current ownership.

Chelsea will not finish in the top four for the foreseeable future. Their finances need them to next season. I cant see it happening for at least 5 years which will destroy any FFP obligations.

Todd Bohely, Behdad Eghbali, Hansjörg Wyss and Clearlake Capital are all parasitic scum bags who in the space of 2 years have killed a successful club. Quite incredible incompetence, from top to bottom. None of the people named above should be allowed near any football club again. Sorry Strasbourg fans, they’re killing your club too.
Will (Remember when Clearlake said they’d renovate Stamford Bridge, that’s gone very f**king quiet hasn’t it.)

Lovely stuff

Sounds like Chelsea fans are a bit like some of Spurs fans last season who were chanting Levy out and quite a lot of booing at the end of poor performances on the pitch. Trouble with takeovers at clubs you never know if what you are getting is better than what you have, seem to remember Chelsea fans were happy with Bohely & Co when they promised heaven and earth during the bidding process.

They weren't unhappy when they were throwing money around like no tomorrow. None of them were questioning what would happen long term they were instead gloating about how they'd won the lottery again. Deserve everything they are getting right now.

Successful is a tricky word to use when it comes to Chelsea. If one mortgages their future for the present, is it truly a success? By those standards, Enron, Bear Stearns Lehman and Elizabeth Holmes would be "successful". Boehly et al made the problem worse but the piper was always going to play.

Where are Chelsea in the table?

*Turns over to page two*

Ahhhh, there they are.
Literally my wife Saturday when the table popped up after our game. The conversation was virtually word for word what you typed.

Chelsea and Australia star Sam Kerr pleads not guilty to racially aggravated harassment of a police officer and faces trial next year

The Chelsea striker appeared in court yesterday and trial is set for next February

Australia's superstar captain Samantha Kerr will face a criminal trial next year for alleged racially aggravated harassment of a police officer, the Mail can reveal.

The Chelsea striker appeared in court yesterday (MON) accused of using insulting, threatening or abusive words that caused alarm or distress to PC Lovell during an incident in Twickenham, southwest London, on January 30.

The 30-year-old, who wore a white t-shirt under a black suit jacket as she appeared at Kingston Crown Court via videolink, spoke only to confirm her identity and to enter a not guilty plea to the charge.

She was told she was obliged to attend a four-day trial, scheduled for next February, during which two police officers are expected to give evidence.

Judge Judith Elaine Coello said it was understood that the footballer's defence would be that her intention was not to upset the policeman.

'I understand that the defence is that she didn't intend to cause alarm, harassment or distress to the officer, [her behaviour] did not amount to it and it was not racially aggravated,' the judge asked Kerr's barrister, Grace Forbes.

The charge comes as Kerr, who has scored 99 goals in 128 matches for Chelsea since signing in 2019, is sidelined with a long-term anterior cruciate ligament injury sustained during the club's warm weather training camp in Monaco in January.

Kerr, originally from Fremantle in Western Australia, has been shortlisted for the Ballon d'Or Féminin every year since its inception in 2018.

She has won four Women's Super League titles with Chelsea, as well as three FA Cups, two Women's League Cups and the Women's Community Shield in 2020.

Kerr and fellow professional player Kristie Mewis, 32, who plays in the US league, the NWSL, confirmed last November that the couple were engaged to be married.

Their Saudi backers will prevent the club going into financial meltdown through numerous financial doping schemes in the summer
