Bit unfair on Lampard, it was always going to be a project with him taking his first "big" job. No-one will be surprised though, it's what Roman does.

You don't apply for a job you aren't qualified for and then claim its unfair because you've failed to meet expectations. Well done for convincing the interviewer and taking home the big pay packet, but you will be found out.

Championship beckons for him, I don't see any redeeming features of a football manager that any club in the Premier League would want.

I agree that's where he should be heading, I can just imagine West Ham hitting a small blip and them sacking Moyes to bring in Lampard. Then when Frank screws up bringing Moyes back to fix the mess 18 months later.

Palace was just based on Roy's age and Bournemouth due to uncle Harry.

Which surely Lampard, as club captain for about a decade, witnessed first hand as a player.

Chelsea is a great job for a manager to earn a salary and possible get a trophy. It's not great club to manage if you want to actually manage.

The only PL job I can see becoming available in the next 12 months is Newcastle, but if Bruce gets a few wins in the league then he'll be safe.

Palace maybe if Roy retires.

Think he needs to go back to the Championship and earn his stripes

Rodgers left Celtic where he was pretty much guaranteed glory (on a scottish level) to go to a mid-table Leicester.

I'm sure he knows their potential, and I'm sure he won't hesitate to leave for greener grass. He'll want a PL title, and I think he knows he will struggle to get one with Leicester

This season could be it for him. The table as I see it, is wide open and Leicester could make an second upset in short while and win the lot.

Absolutely. You can't be going for the big job and then be complaining about the big pressures that come with it

That really is having your cake and eating it.

Although that does appear to be something Frank has a lot of experience of...

I didn't think about Uncle 'Arry, and Bournemouth are in rotten form atm (one win in six) so I wouldn't rule that out.

I think all of Newcastle, Palace, Bournemouth and Celtic will be available between now and the summer and thinking about it I would be surprised if we don't see him in one of those jobs at the start of next season. There will probably be numerous other Championship vacancies as well.

He'll find work.

Typical, or seems typical that they'll likely be getting the new manager bounce in our game in a week and half time.

Not sure if I'm just wearing my Spurs tinted glasses but it feels like a new manager always come in just before we are due to play someone.

Klopps first game always sticks in my mind. They were in shit form coming into it and the game finished 0-0. They broke their absolute bollocks in that game

I think we dodged a bullet when Abramovich bought Chelsea instead of Tottenham, I have never known a club go through as many “
managers as they have had.

New manager bounce is statistically untrue anyway so really not a factor.

Your thread argues against people having needlessly negative mindsets.

Well, I think we can agree Abramovich is a reprehensible person and found the right club for him.. but did we dodge a bullet really? We've also churned through managers in our time but without all those financially doped trophies to show for it :(

Would you not have gladly taken that for all the trophies they've won, in comparison to us??
