Lampard has got a three year contract.
First season is a gimme due to transfer ban, so it's going to really be about what he does in the second season.
If he makes it that far! Personally think he's out of his mind taking that job

I’m not so sure about the first season being a free hit. With the squad he’s inheriting, they should be challenging (arguably qualifying) for top 4.
The only position they lack depth is centre forward.
If they were to finish, say, 6th, I think he’d be under immense pressure going by benchmarks of previous Chelsea coaches.
I wouldn't say it's that cut and dry. Hazard was, without doubt, the most important individual player to any of the top 6. He was both their top goalscorer and provider - without him the team looks very light on goals and lacking in creativity. Willian and Pedro are both getting on a bit, Pulisic could be great but will never get close to matching Hazard, and none of their strikers are prolific. Add in the injury to RLC and the need to blood a bunch of young, untried players and...it's a very difficult job indeed.I’m not so sure about the first season being a free hit. There quite simply aren't enough goals in that team to challenge for the top 4 in my opinion.
See Redknapp jr has popped up with the old "he needs to be given time"
Pretty sure he wouldn't be saying that if it wasn't his cousin and was a European coach.
