Lautaro seems to stay with Inter. Vlahovic is closer to Atletico than us. Kane most likely leaving then who? The world don’t have too many good number 9 at the moment.

I know a lot of u will disagree with me, but I would be fine if the Spurs go after Icardi. The prime Icardi of Inter is the closest thing to Harry Kane. I mean who else? Can you guys think of better and “realistic” options in just less than 2 weeks to go?

No way he’s got Kane’s all round game, icardi’s a box player

For me, Luka Jović. Still young. Strong, athletic, good finisher. Fits the brief, if we want someone before Scarlett takes the rein.

I think, if our backs were against the wall, we could do worse than Jesus

Not ideal, but he's still an established prem and Brazil forward, who might just benefit from being key man

I like En-Nesyri at Sevilla… also still young but he’s been banging goals in for the last couple of seasons.

Ive seen it meantioned here and there but i know it gets neg ratings but i really dont think jesus is that bad and with a new environment and manager like nuno i think he could do very well. Energetic and pacey to fit the bill of how we have setup so far.

I am not saying Icardi style is similar to Kane. I am saying his productivity not style. Jesus is a good option too. I just hope we will get someone pretty good because for sure Kane is leaving.

The only time Jesus is a good option is if you’ve chosen to find god. Gabriel Jesus is bang average, so much so that Pep would rather play any number of midfield players up front rather than him.

I wonder if Nuno would be tempted to look at Raul Jimenez with an idea on how he settles back into playing.

I appreciate it’s a lazy Wolves link, but he certainly got good things from him previously.

I like the Jovic suggestion out of those mentioned above. Tricky to think of much else ?

Broadly, his record with City is 1 in 3.

On the one hand, would benefit from a sustained run in a team.

On the other hand, if he’s 1 in 3 with that City side behind him, he could be horrific for us

But sometimes you have to dig deeper than that, styles of play of the team, how they are told to play tactically etc. I think he would do well in a team that operated with abit of space and attacked in a more bursting fashion like we do rather than camped around the oppositions box with 19 players cramped into a small area of the pitch relying on tikka takka style of play/ combinations.
He went to city very young and as a potential superstar and it hasnt worked out but that's not to say he couldn't go elsewhere and become a better player in a better fit of a team. You see it all the time with players not suiting a style of play a manager wants then going elsewhere only to tear it up.
For example, i look at mbappe as a player and think he would not look very special at a club like city, but somewhere like liverpool for example i think he would shine like the great player he is.

Kane’s all round game is what makes him the £150m+, think we need to expect his replacements not to be as good all round
That’s fair but at the same time icardi is a pure box player, great finisher but offers little else, there’s a middle ground between the two
