Rather we sign Vlahovic
You stole my thunder. I would much rather see him here. It is my honest opinion that just as we are looking at Gollini replacing our World Cup winning Captain next season we could well be looking at him being in exactly the same scenario as regards Harry Kane. I rate him that highly.

Rather we signed them both to be honest bored of the Harry Kane shenanigans just get enough for him to cover cost .130 million should do,not even bothered about getting the 180 to 200 or whatever, Harry’s probably got 3 or 4 top years left in him allowing for his ankles. The other two have got 8 to 10 years both high quality it’s a no brainer for me.

Di Marzio is now suggesting that inter are after Insigne....looks like they are after more than one forward

They won't be getting that for him.

Only two years left on his contract and with Inter needing funds, this will be the last window they have to get a significant sum for him. If they overvalue him they lose that opportunity and they won't be able to ease the financial situation. The fact they are looking to bring in some of Zapata, Correa, Dzeko and Insigne for cheaper fees tells you that they are planning on his departure. They'd be committing suicide if they bring in them and fail to sell Martinez because they asked for too much.

If Kane only had two years on his contract we'd be facing a similar reality, minus the financial mess of course.

This will happen I reckon

I just hope he can live up to his price tag and he'll have big shoes to fill as I'm guessing Kane will be off.

Pretty sure that he won't be Harry's replacement. He is either being bought to play with Harry or alongside another new striker - presumably Vlahovic.

This is a curious one for me. He’s a good player, obviously, but somewhat similar to what we have already in Sonny - and to a lesser extent, Stevie & Lucas - and certainly not a replacement for the Kane-sized hole we may be about to wrench open. I still think having a big and strong centre forward who can play with his back to goal is a vital currency in English football; I know City won the league without this, but their pursuit of Harry (together with Chelsea’s acquisition of Lukaku and Utd’s of Cavani) shows the importance of strength & size still in a no. 9. So, great, let’s get Lautaro if Paratici feels he offers long term value at the (high) quoted price. But we also, more than anything, need a Kane replacement (if he goes) & back-up too that offers us strength and power in the no. 9 role (whether that’s Vlahovic or someone else).

I very much doubt we shell out on a £60m striker without Kane leaving. Would love to be proved wrong as it would be a hell of a statement!

History dictates though, that Kane will be sold and Martinez will be his main replacement.

But I very much hope we buy Vlahovic as well!

My views exactly

The obvious partner to him is Vlahovic, should Kane be sold. But, there is also… WOUT WEGHORST! Think he’d be a smart choice should Vlahovic’ price prove prohibitive.
