As far as I remember, Chelsea have chosen to do that twice in the last 3 years as they know we don't like it. I assume that most other teams, when they win the toss, choose to kick off.

i pritty sure there is not a toss before every gae

It's like on Pro Evo, you only get shown an Entrance on important games. The rest of the time the players just magically appear, as if teleported.

*fixed my sarcasm gene innit*

How do they decide which end you defend then? Can make a big difference eg acouple of years ago Utd put us with sun in Robbo's eyes for first half with a 5pm kick off - needless to say, we conceded. By half time sun had gone down so their goalie had no probs.

Yes, i'm sure that why Man United beat us. Nothing to do with the fact that we never beat them anyway.

It all changed a few years ago regarding the coin toss.

"A coin is tossed and the team that wins the toss decides which goal
it will attack in the first half of the match.
The other team takes the kick-off to start the match.
The team that wins the toss takes the kick-off to start the second half
of the match."

So there is a lot less choice than there used to be.

yeah but surely you will notice that generally if the home team wins the toss, they make the choice, and if the away team wins the toss, they allow the home team to make the choice OR they end up with the same decision as the home team, and that is usually the away team attacking their own fans in the second half.

Only people like chelsea think they are big and clever and switch it around on us if they win the toss.

I think As5 Ana1 did it once to us.

If you won the toss, you could either choose which end to defend or to take Kick off.

If you chose Kick off the opposition could then choose which end to defend.

Arsenal home game 2 seasons ago where we drew 1-1 (King scored Pires equalised getting on to the end of a Bergkamp free kick that Robbo flapped at - he had the sun in his eyes and wasn't wearing a cap)

Cue lots of ironic chants of "England's No. 1 from the away fans)
