Can Walker cross the ball like Beckham? No, therefore he has room for improvement. Is attacking prowess more than delivering the final ball? I say Yes! Walker, and Rose, switch defence to attack; move the team from the back foot to the front foot; by moving forward they take pressure off the defence and allow the attacking players to find space. Walker might not be Cafu, Rose is not Maldini but then no one else is. I have never understood the warm feeling so many seem to get from constant criticism off our full backs because they are not absolutely perfect. I could imagine if we had Messi the same people writing articles such as, "Is Messi all that?" because he is too short, can't tackle and more

I think Kyle Walker is a really excellent RFB. Is he world class? Keep improving and he will be. He was fantastic this season and he looks the stand out RB in the Euros so far by a mile.

Such an average player that he has been named 1st choice right back for England? I would say he has everything to one day be the best right back in the world. He is probably the most athletic right back, with the best engine and to say he can't defend is just a joke. Where he does have flaws is in his decision making on the ball. If he could improve that he could be the best in the world.

Look down our previous list of RB's and you will find many average players.

Whether one rates Walker or not, saying he's become England's first choice Right Back is no way to back up your opinion. Sterling has become England's first choice, umm........ Something..... Yet he's fucking shite.

So far, England have the best full backs on display, comfortably. Very impressed with both, Walker especially, and delighted for them both too. They are vital to England's chances.

Cole was an astonishingly good left back to be fair, comfortably England's best player over the 'Golden Generation' period and the only one who came out of every major tournament with credit - it's only his personality that has denied him legend status at club and international level.

England's greatest ever left back.

Sterling went for 50m I'd say he is not average either. Average is the West Brom squad of which there are zero players in the England team. There is a spectrum of ability in which walker is not average. You could say he is not a Barcelona level player and probably wouldn't trouble Bayern or Madrid. Is he good enough for top four in every country? I'd say he was and that would put him in the elite group of right backs in the world.

I don't mind admitting being proven wrong so I will happily admit that if you had asked me one or two weeks before the Euros which Spurs players merited a place in the starting eleven, of the 5 that have been selected Walker would probably have been my 5th choice, so if there was a theoretical limit of 4 from one team he would have missed the cut, if only just, that's not to say I didn't rate him it's just me saying that if I had to rank a priority order of Spurs players deserving a starting berth I would have just about had him in 5th place. Thankfully that limit does not exist and he has exceeded my expectations so far, I truly hope he keeps this form up as the tournament progresses so credit where credit is due, well done Walker !!!!

What's his price got to do with anything? Do you think he's a £50mil player? We (could have) paid £26mil for Soldado, does that make him brilliant? £19mil for Paulinho. I could go on, but I'm sure you get my point?

Just because a player is in the England squad, doesn't make him a good player. Drinkwater was much better that Henderson this season, but which is out in France right now? Bringing up Sterling's price, in my opinion, actually weakens your argument because, in reality, he's probably not even worth half of the £50mil you brought up.

Coopsie I normally agree with what you post but not on this occasion. Neither are average players, Sterling is in a lull but I'm sure he will come through it.

Walkers performance vs Russia is right up there with the best RB performance of this euros so far, up there with Hysaj vs Switzerland. Having a good euros so far but we have to wait and see him up against an attack minded team.

He's been phenomenal imo, as has Rose. These two will continue to get better under poch.

I think it is testament to the magnificent work our manager has done onboosting the confidence and belief of our players that this thread exists. He's taught the defenders, in particular, a hell of a lot and Walker, Rose and Dier look very, very good indeed

Normally England destroys all of the confidence our players have generated in a Spurs shirt, but this time you could say our manager's influence has even gone as far as affecting Roy Hodgson's tactics. England are basically trying to copy what we do with three narrow AMs and flying full backs.

The treatment of Kane concerns me a bit but I think we have enough Spurs boys in the squad this time that they will rally round him.

As for Walker, he's definitely getting there. So exciting to see!

I wouldn't say that. To me he is an average Player tbh. He is very suspect defensively, and his end product in the attack is lacking way too often. The good thing about him is that he draws the attention of 1 or 2 defender towards him with his pace so our creative midfielders have more space to Play the ball.
