Harry Kane has spoken to Wayne Rooney, while on England duty about scoring, from someone who has done it "year in and year out".

I don't think 4 games constitutes a drought yet, and to be honest I would rather he wasn't getting het up about it. Rooney is a proven goal-scorer, with a similar goal burden on his shoulders at Man Utd.

Kane's natural talent will shine through and the team is being built around him nicely to enable him to progress. Hopefully he can get a hat-trick against San Marino a lá Son vs Laos!

Just needs to stop trying (forcing it) to score and play his natural game. You could see he was trying too hard at the weekend.

Rooney is much maligned but he hasn't scored less than 14 goals in a season since moving from Everton. I'd say that is a pretty impressive and consistent record given that he has played a lot in midfield or behind/alongisde another striker.

Despite the press coverage Kane hasn't done much wrong save one miss against Everton. What he's really lacking is any support from midfield...

Absolutely agree. Rooney is by far the best England striker over the last 5 years (or more) he should be getting advice from him. He is England captain as well.

Kane has played ok this season. He will come good and the goals will start soon.

Kind of reminds of when Defoe said that he got his scoring boots back by watching old footage of Jimmy Greaves playing (but then lost it again soon after...). At this level so much of the game seems to be played in the head. The pressure must be immense for the kid! Now thanks to the club not getting in another striker, its only going to get worse for him. I hope not, I hope that he starts scoring again soon and goes on some kind of a run.
