100% agreed. I think even if we splunked 90 mil out liverpool would find the money and drop it as well much like Diaz. I just don't see it actually happening especially with Dragon saying Conte wants 3 more big signings. It feels like if we did have 90 mil to spend it would be on 3 more not just bellingham..... but never say never i guess

You'd think we've had ample time to digest the lessons from the Gareth Bale 'not happening - lock thread' thing but, as usual, some people never learn. It's one thing to think it ain't happening, it's another to say it with cast iron certainty. Not where football is concerned. But that's how people roll. Fine.

Let's say we get a bid accepted for the 90m ballpark figure Dragon mentioned.

No, Chelsea, City, Liverpool, Madrid, god knows who else will get their chance to match the deal. They'll stoke a bidding war. And as usual when dealing with mega rich clubs, we will come out the loser.

I for one had been coming up with reasons it’s probably for years, only to be let down every time.
On Jude, I certainly don’t see it happening for very different reasons.

Every champions league team should hold an interest in him. That’s all the D1 news is.

Really good we have made our intentions clear with him though and have our hat in the ring. We should be trying for players of his calibre. Doesn’t mean we want him this summer either. People have obviously jumped the gun on that too and need to get away from the inferiority complex about us being in for these kind of players. It’s where the club is hopefully heading.
