Not at all and it’s just my opinion. Think at this point in proceedings he couldn’t do any worse than any of the other gettable manager. Rodgers has only ever been successful in Scotland and I’ve heard his name banded around, why would Gerrard not be considered having just won the title with Rangers?

Celtic haven't shown up for the last season and a half.

What qualities has Gerard shown that he would do well with us?

He won them the title, took them to the same stage of the Europa that a serial winner like Jose did with us. Just think he’s got something about him as a manager is all. Clearly you and others don’t agree and that’s fine ??

I think the population of this chain store get out of the habit of setting at other people’s opinion as to which the best next manager for us is, everyone has their reasons.

Mourinho, on the other hand, has been disappointing. He made the ‘Spursy’ re-emerge or has betrayed Tottenham’s ambitions just when they seemed achievable.”

I've always been a Jose out person but is there any point in sacking him now since we're gold plated and untouchable in a unbreakable cycle of wealth and prestigious games?

Yes....Jose out!

You may well be right. Having such a high profile manager certainly helps our profile and could have contributed to us being part of this.

It does make you wonder.

That said, I think Covid and the financial problems it's caused has played a bigger role and not many people could have predicted that.

Probably just the big European clubs seeing their opportunity and going for it.
