I luv this..The Bear and his new name , 'petal' (y) . The shortest tempered grump on the site...

We've all misunderstood him , he's really a big softhearted cuddlybum who just wants to be fwends ? :joyful:
I even got the popcorn out and settled back to watch the ensuing tear up.

The bear puts out a tepid one liner.

I think we need to bare in mind that some of the posters on here my be very young and have not developed the ability to control their emotions. I’m not calling anyone out but I’ve seen signs of this in this very thread.

Impossible to tell of course, but I don't get the impression there are that many young people on here. It's a generational thing. Ten years ago people signed up to forums to talk about their interests, now they go to Reddit, Facebook or Twitter.

I imagine new users on here are much much lower than they were a few years back.

In fairness, I know a hell of alot of boomers who can't control their emotions either ?

I hated Mourinho before he joined and up until probably the first 3 or 4 matches of the season I didn't see that changing. I have to say I've been won over and it looks like he is exactly what we needed. I'm completely aware that at some point it will all blow apart and Mourinho will return to type but hopefully that's not too soon and we win something before it happens. For now, I'm in!

I wish there were more new users. It’s good to have fresh input.

Really we need to get BC on loan from FTL.

That’d be box office, could pay Rob’s server fees for a year!

Na fuck em. Personally I think we should cull everyone who joined after 2010.

Except @doctor stefan Freud .

But especially @King of Otters ?

have to say am a bit disappointed with the way Jose talked about Bergwyns abuse in the Leicester pre-match conference. felt like he should have called out the fans who did it - they were a disgrace and should be publicly outed as such. we as Spurs have no right to criticise other clubs for their treatment of players when we sh*t on our own for bad luck when we are SECOND IN THE TABLE. have to say success comes with a price and i do feel disheartened to see that a segment of our fans are starting to become entitled tw*ts.

I think it's more important what Jose does behind the scenes than what he says to the media. Jose himself gets plenty of abuse and that hasn't stopped him from being successful, I'm sure he put his arm around Stevie and probably shared a personal anecdote and re-assured him. Fans are fickle and It probably means more to Stevie that his manager and teammates have his back regardless of how he plays. Plus, he's a goal away from fans proclaiming him the best winger and using meme's and gifs to celebrate the good things he will do for us.

Was it Spurs fans?

Genuine question, because I only heard this on Talksport and they didn't specify who the abuse was from, just that he'd received it online.

The weird notion that our fans are somehow better than other clubs is just naive, we have some absolute vermin in our fanbase, all clubs do.

That's not to say all fanbases are the same though, I mean just look at the Liverpool...they truly are a different breed, and I don't mean that in a complementary way.
