does seem to have a certain symmetry about it and both appeared to accelerate (esp via itk) at the same time.

Wish we’d snap that up. That’s a great price and it would be nice to have him here for a year as we’re likely to be without Jan and Toby for the 20/21 season and I’m not sure I’m comfortable handing over the full time reigns to Foyth yet.

Just seems bizarre that if he was that good for 25m no top team in Europe has snapped him up and he’s gone to Lyon... Wouldn’t really class Lyon as a stepping stone either as he’s currently in a better league. Strange

Lyon are a Champions League team, consistently sell players to top clubs, and probably pay quite a lot better than mid-table Sampdoria.
