Watched him play in his prime, and never a better player to wear the Spurs shirt.

The very best bar none!

My boyhood hero, I saw him score so many beautiful goals at WHL, and even when he went to the Spammers I supported him (just not that team). He was one of a kind.

I don't think anyone in our squad is that small.
Neither of them are out and out strikers either.

I find this quite a disrespectful comment.

Unfortunately I never him play but he was undoubtedly one of our greatest ever players and my old man and all the old boys idolised him. Perhaps you can't compare players of today and yesteryear but they deserve a hell of lot of respect and admiration

Lighten up!
He's our greatest ever player.

It just so happens that players from that generation were different to this.

A great talent ,I saw him play , only hero I ever had .

He might have a prob with contemporary training schedules and physical requirements though . Someone on here was saying that he and Gilly would even have a drink at half-time occasionally...

Truly one of the Greats. Could conjure goals out on nothing. he was idolised (quite rightly so) by our fans and still is today by those of us who were priviliged to see him play. The goal he scored against Leicester at WHL remains the greatest goal I've ever seen. Unfortunately, it wasn't shown on tv so has been lost to all younger fans.
Let's hope he continues to improve as he's still loved.

Can some explain to me why Steffen Freund was in the Tottenham Hotspur Hall of Fame before Jimmy Greaves and Steve Perryman

Didn't Greaves decline for many years? I'm sure it was his choice rather than the clubs not to be inducted, until just before his health declined which further delayed it. Not sure about Perryman...
