Tottenham are keen to sign Jesse Lingard and have approached his representatives about a summer transfer. Lingard is currently out of favour at Manchester United and his contract is due to expire at the end of the season.

If Conte wants him, why not? I think it's worth pointing out that 'cheap' deals like this that address a problem area may be exactly what's needed in order to have the funds in place to go for someone like Vlahovic.

I said the same thing myself in the player thread.

It's an area we need to add depth and quality to and also happens to be an area that costs a premium. I'm not sure how anyone expects us to afford Vlahovic plus a top winger, on top of a RWB, CB & CM, despite accepting that none of our outgoing players (Bergwijn, Dele, Ndombele, Doherty) would attract huge bids. Conte reportedly wants six signings before the start of next season, so we're going to have to be creative / compromise somewhere. This is why I'd also be open to bringing Bale back again.

Precisely. The lad has shown that he can deliver consistent quality at a high level when given the trust and an extended run of games. Absolute no brainer.

We would also eliminate the usual worries around settling and adapting to a different league that can come with some of these flashier pricier imports!

And he's already shown that he can settle in London.
