Fair enough comments really...i feel he's really stepped up to the plate since Tobys been out, and it'll be great to get those two back together soon.
Quite funny that some were claiming Wimmer should be playing instead of Jan a couple of months back.

Wimmer was excellent last season when he stepped up. Vertonghen is playing much better now.

Still funny as some were claiming Wimmer is the better defender....not even close imo.

Opinions eh? I thought Wimmer defended better than Vertonghen last season but Vertonghen was a better all round player.

Jans recent performances in the absence of Toby have put him on a different level to Wimmer in my opinion. Great that hes going to hang around for a while.
