Based on the latest ITK, my guess is that we'd only go for Maddison is Spence falls through, for HG reasons. I know others think the same.

I'd be happy with either of those players, but for both positions (RWB & CAM) I think we can get better for less abroad.

As far as CAMs go you can get one better or you can get one for less. Not gonna find one better for less (with basically zero risk, too).

His stats speak for themself he could start for most of the top sides if there was any possibility of signing him we should get him. I think he would push to start. Also with him and a top CB I think we have a genuine chance to push pool/city rather than just an outside chance with where we are at the moment this summer.

50M + Winks for Bissouma + Maddison would be two of the best transfers Spurs have ever done.

Maddison has been performing at a high level in the PL, same as Richarlison. So we know he'd likely hit the ground running and not need a long time to adapt. For me that's a big plus over someone else who would be new to the league. Good to have a mix.

I wonder if the extreme training regime was part of the thinking behind not pursuing him, I'd definitely understand if there were worries for his well being.

Both Richarlison and Maddison to come in at over £100 million is not far fetched at all considering the capital injection we had plus outgoings we haven't even concluded. The problem is Tielemans’ contract expires next summer so it’s now or never unless he renews now. Maddison’s expires in two years so not as much pressure to move on it.
