Maddison also represented by CAA Base, less than 2 years left on his contract which is ideal signing scenario, plus homegrown and England international . Looks a good deal, more so than Tielemans

Bremer, Gvardiol, Bastoni ship has passed for this summer, who else out there is gonna cost 50m+ that we are interested in?
Would it leave funds for Maddison if we went for a cheaper option CB. Really think he would be box office for us, HG, PL experience, 20+ goals and assists last season.

When you add up Bissouma, Richarlison & Spence it equals out about 100mil. So if you think we have 150 plus sales... then we've got plenty left.

Honestly regardless of bringing in Spence for the HG quota, I don't think our attempts to bring in other home grown players should stop. If the player is good enough that we are interested then it's never a bad thing to have more homegrown.

It gives up options further down the line if we wanted up upgrade on Doherty (or any HG player)

Never been that keen to be honest...but not because of his ability.

No denying his stats from last season. They were very impressive and I've no doubt he improves our creativity department massively.

Ah just always thought he was a bit of a tool despite the articulate interviews.

But that's only a perception from a far....matters not.

Anyway some confdence with a hard working ethic can be a huge plus. And he offers that pure creativity with a big goal threat.

There certainly seems to be more money available (if you assume we will raise cash from Reggie and lo celso and possibly Japhet) plus Leicester finances hit hard and havnt signed anyone yet so maybe there are willing to sell

Leicester needs to sell this summer if they want maximum value and if he's refusing to sign a new contract.

But I just can't see them selling both Maddison and Tielemans in one window.

That would be brilliant. Even if it ends up not being Maddison, you'd have to love the thinking of a player in his mold.

We'd have to be confident that in a 343 our front six could be Son/Lucas - Kane/Richarlison - Kulusevski/Maddison with Gil probably heading on loan. While if Conte (as it's been mentioned to death in here) wanted to go 352 based off opponent then you have Maddison who's perfectly suited for that 3 man midfield as he's played CM/CAM/RW/LW at LCFC.

Agree and Maddison is a quality player. I think he’s be a great signing.

Interesting that we’ve had ITK saying he is a real possibility and also that our interest will probably go if/when we get Spence. Not questioning the info, or saying that it’s contradicting, but curious to know where exactly he is on the list.
