Grealish can stay at Villa, JM would be a much better option IMO .I wonder how Poch feels today with no signings made a month after our season ended ?
Man U have summed Fred tooSo, thus far two of our immediate rivals have signed nobody, and two of our immediate rivals have strengthened with a 34 year old Swiss Right Back who would at best be our second choice and block the path of the potentially exceptional Kyle Walker-Peters, a 19 year old Portuguese right back with an entire 6 first team appearances to his name in a league weaker than this countries second tier.
- Arsenal:
- Stephan Lichtsteiner (Juventus)
- Chelsea:
- Nobody
- Liverpool:
- Fabinho (Monaco)
- Naby Keita (RB Leipzig)
- Manchester City:
- Nobody
- Manchester Utd:
- Diogo Dalot (FC Porto)
Liverpool have on the face of it done some great business with Fabinho and Keita, the former is basically going to be a direct replacement for Can, Can having left for free and Fabinho arriving for £44m, and Keita having been wrapped up a year ago anyway.
So, unlike you and many others in this nuthouse of a forum, I believe Pochettino's knickers remain rather untwisted, his toys firmly in pram and his bed completely dry.
Oh, and Grealish is better than Maddison.
Good quick spot, thanks. Overrarching point still stands though. Untwisted, unthrown, dry.Man U have summed Fred too

So you think that our rivals have left us behind then this summer and outdone us?Good Evening Daniel
SavageSo you think that our rivals have left us behind then this summer and outdone us?
Or do you just have an axe to grind because by this point in your football manager save you were able to sign Messi for Spurs in between gcse revision?
Superb post mate, and I’ve Winnered it as is appropriate. But Fred is a box to box player and seems to be very creative - he isn’t another Matic at all and will likely form a midfield 3 with he and Pogba. So, thus far two of our immediate rivals have signed nobody, and two of our immediate rivals have strengthened with a 34 year old Swiss Right Back who would at best be our second choice and block the path of the potentially exceptional Kyle Walker-Peters, a 19 year old Portuguese right back with an entire 6 first team appearances to his name in a league weaker than this countries second tier, a an albeit very good central midfielder who they already have a better player (Matic) to do the exact same role.

It certainly feels more like this is a plausible reason we are not signing him, rather than Grealish 'being better' despite his goal scoring and assist stats being well below Maddison's.Maddison seems like a direct replacement for Eriksen, as he plays predominately in a central role. This could have been a reason as to why we didn't sign him as his chance of game time could be limited. Whereas with Grealish, he can play centrally and in wide positions a lot more comfortably than Maddison.
Maddison will be a good signing for Leicester and I guess they're already spending their Mahrez money in a bid to replace him if he goes.
Modric’s goal scoring and assist stats are well below a lot of comparable players. We aren’t buying Grealish for that role.It certainly feels more like this is a plausible reason we are not signing him, rather than Grealish 'being better' despite his goal scoring and assist stats being well below Maddison's.
Modric plays a different position - as in, he's not a 10, right????Modric’s goal scoring and assist stats are well below a lot of comparable players. We aren’t buying Grealish for that role.
Was going to post the same, Fred was a very good buy who could work very well for them, will allow Pogba to be more free to express himself. Nor is Grealish. Maddison is. That's my point.Modric plays a different position - as in, he's not a 10, right????
Grealish, not only wears the no.10, but played 33 games in AM last season. It seems from transfermarkt, not once did he play the 8 in CM.Nor is Grealish. Maddison is. That's my point.

Maddison played 44 games in AM, and 3 in CM, scoring 15 goals and assisting 12.
