Report in the Sun today mentioning that he was part of a boozy group (not sure that he was a boozy member though) of people that abused a cabbie and has now had a second caution from the Old Bill.

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/3400523/Arsenal-star-Jack-Wilshere-caution-for-threat.html

He is the future of our National team? He is a very talented player but has all the traits of a dirty thug...............IMHO. He makes my lillywhite blood boil! Not exactly a role model is he.

What do you chaps think?

I think I like it how The Sun (and any other tabloid newspaper) seems to make it their duty to find dirt on one of our future English international stars on the eve of their international debut!

Makes no difference really, most of the players in the England Team at present are most probably ****s of the highest order.

Money corrupts plus most of 'em are thick as two short planks as they neglected their schooling (something that the French would not do, and something I feel we should follow the example of).

He is by some distance the best young english midfielder there is. His unpleasant traits as a footballer, and person?, will probably lead to a few red cards but alot of the best central midfielders are not saints.

He is without a doubt the heir apparent to Paul Scholes - shame he's a Gooner!

In respect of him playing football, has anybody ever seen him play the ball with his right foot?

I accept that most of today's footballers are one footed but most can use their weaker foot. With Wilshere, he will actually turn 180 degrees in order to be able to play the ball with his left foot.

In my opinion, a very limited footballer but I'm probably biased.

I wouldn't be surprised to read later that his role model is John "the thug" Terry

No doubt biased, he's easily the best young English player around right now. Might only be one footed but when you're that comfortable on the ball and have that technique it don't matter too much. Xavi hardly ever uses his left foot.

He's a wonderful player, but I don't want to see him play the holding role. Leave that to Parker who I thought was excellent.

Surely Rodwell as the brawn, Henderson as the lungs, Wilshere as the brains, has got to be the midfield three for England sooner rather than later..?

We have to can the generation of Parker, Carrick, Barry...and Lampard and Gerrard soon. They failed, their time is up.

Na Rodwell and Henderson have a long way to go. Maybe in the future.
