Forgot you were ITK Ron,
I may not have information from inside the club, but Villa would have to be mental to sell their (by far) best player.
It’s incredibly difficult to buy Prem ready players as a promoted side (wolves aside, and they have that weird Portuguese relationship...) so there’s no way they’re selling him unless it’s a king’s ransom.
For the sort of money they’d (understandably) request, we could get better elsewhere IMO.
This one just died a death - all a matter of opinion, clearly, but I’m pretty confident I’m right
All he’s been talking about is playing in the premier league with villa so I really think he’s not going to leave, plus the astronomical price tag that villa can put on him now makes it inevitable that he’ll spend at least one season with villaI think you are right. Certainly from a Villa perspective. However, a lot does also depend on how JG sees his future. If he's happy to grind out survival in the prem for a.season then he won't ask to leave. But if he smells the chance, possibly his only chance, to play on a larger European stage, he may ask to go. The price tag is then more negotiable to a.certain degree unless they go hardball. Although they've done that once. He might not be so amicable 2nd time round.
A lot of variables for him.to consider. There is no guarantee he will carve up the premier league (although I think he has the ingredients). If he has a poor season, or even a mediocre one, for villa in the league, he may be taking a stroll down 'if only' Avenue. I'm fairly sure when opportunity knocks, he'd certainly give it serious consideration.

I know what you mean but this kid definitely loves villa, you can see what the club means to him.I tend to agree. But when you waft large sums of money and the big stage at people, minds can change. Over the years I've heard quite.a.few.statements along the lines of 'life long fan' / 'boyhood club' / 'committed', then the next thing you know.theres sports headlines about them signing for another club.
Anyway, in the words of the streets. Theres plenty more fish in the sea.

Plus is anyone going to pay £60m for a player yet to be proven in the league
It really wouldn’t surprise me if it is £60m considering last year they didn’t do the deal with us at £30m and at that point they were on there knees financially and now they don’t need the money. This part I agree with. Although I always take media quoted figures with a pinch of salt.
He wanted to move last season, but was told.no and was given a lucrative 5 year contract to keep him. He may love the club, but his head can be turned. Anyway.
Onwards and upwards, of it's a no go then Levy etal best get cracking finding other options. Procrastination in this window could leave egg on faces again.
Same thoughts as meGrealish should have been signed last summer and would have been a good signing then, however a year down the line we could do better in my opinion! I'm a fan of Grealish to
If they had any sense they would sell and strengthen the squad. Unless they have a huge transfer kitty they will struggle too stay up next season as their squad is very average.
It would be like us selling Kane. Replace him with expensive unproven signings who give no assurance they’ll stand by the club if things turn sour. If Villa stand any chance they’ll have to build around the Peaky Blinder Judas Wanker. If they had any sense they would sell and strengthen the squad. Move on, he's not worth 40mill. Far better options available for that money
