Judging from all his comments it sounds like Levy is playing a risky game, I for one would be delighted to eat humble pie if he can pull off whatever it is he is doing, I personally think he has completely fucked the window but I'd happily be wrong.

Given by previous history I'd wager Levy messes up 1st choice and 2nd choice.

The best thing to do with transfer windows is take with a massive pinch of salt any comments coming out of the club. Have extremely low expectations for the outcome when the window closes and you might just be a little bit happy. Obviously there are exceptions e.g selling a class act like Berbatov and get Frasier Campbell on loan as a replacement + the Rasiak 11pm deadline signing.

I agree but I'd rather nobody in than another sissoko purchase, I think theres a lesson learnt from Liverpool where they waited for Van Dijk and Keita and didn't buy any filler shit. I've been quite critical of Levy this summer yet the eternal optimist in me still think he's suddenly going to pull a great dm out whilst landing Zaha and then settle on Grealish. Then again I'm fucking deluded.

Back then i was less cynical and was hitting F5 up to the death. I will never forget the Noodles ITK updating COYS with the news. Most posters thought he was on a wind up.

I agree. I struggle to see Grealish being that special player to add that extra quality.

If we sign him I think a lot would be surprised how good he can be.

I don't get it either. Graelish isn't a conventional CM - more a hybrid no.8/10 akin to Eriksen. So if he's not 1st choice, who could we possibly go for in that position? Unless our 1st choice is a traditional CM, and Poch will tinker with our tactics/ formation depending on who we sign.
