The 'missing' Jack Grealish shots from the Villa photoshoot have surfaced on Twitter, so he was definitely present, which makes it all the more curious that his photos were left out of the final article.

Jack has also remained completely silent on all social media again last night and today.

They aren't 'missing'. You stole them.

It seems Grealish is our most important target now as he is home grown. Once he is in, the next is down to player sales. This early window closure (which we voted for) is really messing us up!

C£160m spent on Grealish (£30m), Ceballos (£30m) & Zaha (£60m) & c£70m in from moving Toby along for £40m, Dembele for £10m, Nkoudou for £10m and Janssen for £10m and apart from contract extensions for Jan & Eriksen, we'd be pretty much safe and set for the next couple of seasons, as well as have sufficient HG & nonHG quotas. It would also give Pochettino wiggle room to buy further nonHG players with Vorm, Gazzaniga, Sissoko & Llorente on the fringes

umm...you sure about that? ;)

Possibly but the best way to do that would be leaking info to the press.

I in no way intend to insult when saying this but that would be the obvious way to do it and had probably been done for years. But in the world of Twatter, FB and all the rest then you need to have a more comprehensive strategy. No point giving some a coy interview about having moved on but letting true intentions leak out online

And just like clockwork, The Sun are reporting that Chelsea are ready to steal Grealish from under our noses.

Sigh.

It feels like this deal is coming to the wire. Villa leaking a deal for Grealish to Chelsea and Spurs leaking a deal for Cook.

Yeah chelsea, brilliant career move for a first team ready English lad. They have the best youth setup in Europe and hardly use any of them.

They spent £70m on two English CMs last summer who they ended up hardly using, whilst loaning out a lad that ended up playing for England in the World Cup. A player that aren't even sure whether to use this season.

He'd genuinely be better off staying at Villa.
