Actually like how he looked today, a clear spark in that team but he has good energy, light on his feet but also forward thinking, often looks like he really wants to move forward and progress, to try and make things happen.

Think he could bring a really welcomed freshness to the team to be honest.
Similar to Barkley in that they both play deeper and love the forward runs? Maybe Grealish was on the shortlist when we were in for Barkley, Villa hit issues financially this window and BINGO, Levy was in like Flynn!

I'd like him more if he pulled his socks up in all honesty. I don't know if he rates himself too much to be prepared to have the capacity to want to learn the important stuff.

Also one thing that's struck me watching this game is he gets away from players initially but gets fouled. I'm starting to question if he looks for the foul instead of trying to get away from the player more. It's a good skill to have but not if you look for the foul all the time. He needs to demonstrate that he's got the killer pass and I'm just not seeing it enough. He really does have a long way to go even though he has a fair bit of natural talent
Agree, I think Maddison was the better player and we've missed out on him. His speed on the thought on the turn was brilliant; he knew what to do before he had it. Grealish just seems to want to spend too much time on the ball.

Similar to Barkley I'm some ways? Can't say I'm properly compared them but

Yeah I would say so mate. Both players who like to receive the ball and look forward and can both have an eye for a pass but also like to travel with the ball.

Same old really, but to slightly change topic, just wanted to put it out there - I think Steve Bruce is a top bloke. Always comes across well and seems to genuinely care about every club he manages.
