The gossip column on BBC.com is suggesting Cheatski could bid for him, and he's valued at 80 million pounds......match made in heaven, and so appropriate. I don't care where he goes as long as it's not to us! He's cancer looking for a host!
No need for the last part of this post.

But agree that he’d suit Chelsea well and he’s not the type of character we will be looking for.

Il have to hold my hands up, I’ve watched a few interviews a lot more times. Yes I think he is very much misinformed, but he’s from a poor background, and feels this is against him as a person/black person, than a person who committed offences against the FA. I don’t think he is a bad person I think his pride will be the thing that ruins him.

I was chatting to an Arsenal fan last week and he seemed to think Toney was looking at going to them. They need an out-and-out centre forward, which Jesus, Nketiah and Havertz aren't delivering the goals.

Unfortunately he hasn't thought about the bit that has to happen as well, them offloading players for real money.

They can't shift Nketia now, Smith Rowe doesn't want to go, Havertz can't go as it will make Arteta look stupid.

Would Jesus go to Saudi? They'll probably luck out and get rid of him there.

That would make Arteta look pretty stupid too though wouldn’t it. 18 months after buying him from City, having worked with him day in day out while being Pep’s cone boy, and he didn’t know Jesus couldn’t hack it as a centre forward? Lol

I can’t understand why we wouldn’t be looking at him. Home grown, goal scorer better than Richy etc.
- He's 27, which might mean 'peak' to some, but to others means he's only going to go down in value
- He comes across like a tool
- He would be in direct competition with Son, who looks better as a 9

I can TOTALLY understand why we wouldn't go for him. In fact, I'm well against it

Son needs another player to replace him up front this season.
A striker who is guaranteed to get 15 goals a season whilst being home grown and in his prime as you said is literally the perfect replacement.

I do see a valid point of him being a tool, but if he delivers on the pitch the same output as his last few season (I see no reason why not) then it’s a no brainer.

that said if the price is too high then yes go elsewhere. I’d sell richalison in a heartbeat if they had a similar fee though.

It's a tricky one, personally I've never rated him as highly as others but you can't argue with his record.

He wouldn't be cheap (most places are quoting £80m) and if it was me I'd rather we put our money into an exciting prospect rather than take a punt on Toney.

Son needs a replacement/back up, that's for sure - at the moment, having Richi and Veliz I'd say is pretty damn good

Is it perfect? That profile of player is expensive and would almost certainly complain if he wasn't first choice. I'd argue the right profile is most of what you've said, but young, and still comfortable as a squad player

if he delivers on the pitch the same output as his last few season (I see no reason why not) then it’s a no brainer.
Who knows how he'd do as a sub, let alone whether he would moan about it

I think that's very fair, yup

He's just what Arsenal need. Would score bucket loads for them and us. 20 goals (6 penalties) last season playing for Brentford. Not sure where else you'll get premier league proven, 20 goals a season. Certainly not with Jesus or Richy to be fair. But the fella is clearly an arse..... see what I did there. Best case scenario he goes to Chelsea but not sure Poch would want him in the dressing room either.

Great striker but if what our ITK (unless I'm misremembering) have alluded to about his attitude we should steer well clear.

He’s a bellend who still has it all to prove imo. He’s had a good 18 months in a Brentford team set up to get the best from a target man.

There’s too much of a risk that this was just a purple patch and that he’d piss it all away by being caught gambling again or otherwise going off the rails in some other manner.

I like the fact that our recruiment is now placing more emphasis on character/mentality and the type of person.

This guy screams red flag ffs.

Brentford under Frank and Spurs under Ange plays totally different kinds of football. That Toney scored goals for them does not - in any shape or form - mean that he fits our current style of play. I’d suggest that he is a square peg for a round hole.

And to add to this, he’s obviously a bad fit personality wise.

when Pep signed him, he was drawn to the fact that Jesus excels at winning the ball high up the pitch, so he is brought in to help their pressing game.

back to Toney, don't think he will come cheap, and with the lack of match sharpness, not a gamble I am willing to take.

A lot of people are saying it’ll be some ‘battle’ between Chelsea, Arsenal and us etc to sign him..

..I honesty see there not being much of a clamour to sign him at all. Most clubs do their due diligence these days.

Can see this one going down the Zaha route. Be very interested to see what happens if he’s offered a move to Saudi.

I'm sorry - but if anyone argues that this tool being a tool doesn't matter in a team of non-tools, then they should check their tools.
