A certain Mr Adebayor is beginning to win me over.

I'll admit that the Ar5ena1 connections bothered me a little.

But mainly I didn't think he was as good as some were making out, I thought he was lazy and on his day was good but he didn't have enough "days".

He took his goal well last week, but still seemed a little lazy at times. But today he worked hard and took both goals very well, even if he could've scored more.

Even better, him and Defoe look to be a promising partnership.

Keep it up Ade and I'll happily eat a large portion of humble pie.

Top man for admiting you might have been wrong about Adebayor

Like you say, it's early days, but the signs are very promising.

3 goals in 2 games.

A good start, liking his work and dare we hope for 20+ goals this term from him?

It's amazing watching the little things that he does, and thinking "Pav has never once done that...". Only down side is that we don't own him.

Not me at all, he'll have a good 1st couple of months and then disappear as usual, hope i am wrong but I am so happy we have him only on loan

It was never his Arsenal connections that concern me, but the fact he has more baggage than a 747

I was amazed at his work rate, TBH I don't suppose I really noticed it when he was playing for other teams, in fact I too thought he was a lazy player.

He was impressive today. He seemed to be everywhere.

He was excellent. That first touch for his first goal was pure jizz. Awesome volley for his second too.

3 of this best 5 months ever in the league were a March or April.

Five more times please.

If you could hide them in random threads we could have a game like "Where's Wally"

Berbatov Crouch were lazy! but people just said it was there style...Adebayor was expected to be the freak Thierry Henry was, that was never going to happen.

Personally I think people have a problem with the way he looks and speaks, a sort of stereotyped view....just my opinion.

It's pretty funny how are slightly disappointing transfer window has actually yielded three first team improvements two of which have come in and completely changed or fortunes.

Great signings from Harry and Levy. Really impressed with Ade's work rate. He seems to have a point to prove which is great.

We all knew what was needed ...keep Luka Modric and get a world class striker. If we had just got Adebayor and kept Palacios that would have been still a great window...our squads very good for the next 5 seasons we can get away with one marque signing per season or squad juggle, as we did with Parker/Palacios.

Haha, yeah. Anyone remember the outpouring of doom and despondency the day after the window shut?

He's the missing piece of the striker puzzle and it's amazing seeing it all come together

He's really hammering home just how poor Crouch, Defoe, Pav, Keane, Bent and Campbell were.

Fantastic player, just what the doctor ordered :hump:

Put Aaron Lennon in that team with Adebayor then I'm pretty sure they'll be another notch/ option in attack.

He's always been a beast when he's been committed

I read an interview where he said he's changed a lot since that horrific incident in Africa.

I think we might have got ourselves a truly world class player for the season.
