ITK TraderSpur on COYS - Kameni (Done Deal)

Some will know that as well as my main job (trader) I also have an FA Agents licence. Just been told by a reliable source (another agent) that JR has made an enquiry about Carlos Kameni. My source thinks (this part is his opinion, not what he has been told) bid will be EUR10m.

Ill keep you posted if I hear any more.

Just been told by the same agent who gave me the info back in Jan that it is a "done deal for €6.8m"

Hmmm interesting. That is around £5m ish. Can't say I have seen him much, but from what I have heard he is either ridiculously brilliant (game against Barca) or just ridiculous.

Sorry, I've not heard any info about this.

I really don't rate Kameni at all though, he's an absolute clown, easily as bad as Gomes. His antics will easily cost us as many goals as his basic keeping skills are an improvement on Robbo.

Amelia a ten times better keeper if we are able to get him.

Kameni, should he arrive, may even come with his own keeper-coach at Espanyol, N'kono.

Kameni is rumoured to have a buy-out clause of around 7 million Euros. If true, this is below his market price, so there'll be plenty of interested clubs.

Obviously, we have the cash to trigger Kameni's release clause any time we like. The issues will be:

i) is he our top choice for GK - ahead of players like Amelia, Foster and Cudicini?

ii) will Kameni get a better financial offer elsewhere?

iii) will we guarantee him first team football? Because if Robbo is sold and Cerny released, I think we need two new GKs for next season - even if we bring one in on loan for the season (eg speculatively, based on recent ITK, Ben Foster).

Amelia is very over-rated on here. He is a solid keeper yet unspectacular. Think Italian Rob Green (maybe slightly better).

Only good thing is Amelia is sure to leave Livorno if they go down (they are rock bottom right now). He'd be good for us but talk of him being 10 times better than this keeper or that keeper is laughable.

There are no good ITKs on COYS. I used to post on there and got banned for saying that certain posters were wrong when I had genuine information that contradicted them.

Most of the old ITKs, particularly on that site, are well out of the loop and are just holding onto power Mugabe-esquely.

I dont like keepers with personalities, or anything excentric about them what so-ever. I want a big boring bastard who is unspectacular but never makes a mistake. Like Schmeicheal or Kahn.

With this in mind, I'd like Amelia more than Kameni. But my top choice would be one of these german keepers coming through, Neuer or the Leverkusen one.
