yah, I was thinking about this earlier... however bad it seems for us... we're still on an upswing, as in the squad is getting better and we're getting a taste for the chumpions league.

Arsenal's experiences on the other hand must be torturous. Wenger would not survive at Tottenham.

Also, I think he had to resign to preserve his sanity.

ALL fans and media told him what he needed to win the league but still he would not listen.Harry got it wrong yesterday but he is still the man for the job.

Well he is tactically good enough to finish above us AGAIN without spending the kind of £ we have in the last 6 years......

Sad but true....only a side used to success can be this angry with a manager who is still going to comfortably finish 3rd. Should they have done better? Or course, but still, I'll take 3rd.

Yes he is tactically good enough, he just doesn't have good enough players to win the title or anything else. His tactics and the passing game he uses means that his players never try to take the ball past a player and risk losing it which means they keep possession so much more than other teams allowing quite good players to punch above their weight every season which is why his team has success against the lower sides so consistently but no longer the top teams.
In all honesty is Sagna, Clichy, Diaby, Koshelny djourou, skilachi or Rosicky really good enough to play for a top two or three side? Not on your life but they get there every year even so.

Now that he hasn't got the England defence left to him and unchallenged knowledge of the brightest young stars of French football or David Dein to bring them in he is struggling to get the players he needs, that's poor management not poor tactics; and I didn't even mention the real secret of his success, Denis Bergkamp, think about it:)

Don't forget the wages they pay compared to us, which is only substainable from the gate receipts from a new stadium.

No he's not good enough! They should sack him, burn down the stadium and appoint Big Sam to take the job.

No, it's a legitimate point, if we had a manager who had stalled us to such a degree, he'd be torn limb from limb and then said limbs would be transported to the four corners of the earth whereupon arrival the natives, be they inuits or whatever, would further deface the limbs according to the instructions we had previously faxed over.

The quicker he steps down, the better for us.
Thanks to Arse wipe, Arse anal have their bright brand new squeaky clean new library but as their fans are so accustomed to success, almost 7 years without a trophy is enough to hang the guy.
If our fans are fickle what adjective describes theirs ?

We have spent less then Arsenal in the last 6 years including wages. Unfortunatly our income is close to half of that of Arsenal....

Was going to say this.

Also, look at the respective squads six years ago. Even taking into account that Arsenal's goal was to finish top and ours to finish top four, we have had to improve far more than they have. Our spend therefore should have been far, far higher.

It's like: Jevon (Arsenal) and Percy (Spurs) entered a Best Dressed Man competition and Jevon already has a blinding whistle and just needed to purchase a cravat and monocle to top it off. Percy, meanwhile, has a wardrobe full of off-the-rack items from Primark. Of course Percy has to spend more if he wants to catch up. Or at least snatch Second Runner-Up behind Jevon and Benedict.

Yeah, pretty much like that.

I remember this game recently where two local rivals were playing their big derby match. The home team were down at half time, but the manager made a couple of subs, the team pressed further up the pitch and they managed to grab an equaliser. The away manager by contrast looked on passively without making any tactical changes, probably believing that his system from the kick off must be perfect. This kind of comeback has bitten him a lot recently.

Wasn't this their first loss in 15 games or something ? if that is tactically not good enough what is tactically good enough ? what we would give right now for 1 defeat in 15.

Wenger is an annoying **** but is one of the all time great managers they would be mad to hound him out

Is he really an all time great? Is he really up there with Fergie, Stein, Shankley, Paisley, Clough and that only in Britain I would say if you look abroad there will be even more that would be considered better than him.

Don't get me wrong he is (sadly) a very good manager but isn't up there with the all time greats for me.
