Tottenham are chasing the signature of on-loan Parma striker Amauri, according to his agent.
The 30-year-old, who arrived at the Ennio Tardini from parent club Juventus

during his short stay.
The veteran striker has knocked in seven goals for the Italian side, including a double to seal their 2-0 victory at Udinese

Amauri's agent Ernesto Bronzetti

claims the striker's performances at the Serie A club have caught the attention of numerous European outfits, including Spurs.
"There are several clubs interested," Bronzetti told Tuttosport.
"There are at least eight bids for him - from England where I can reveal Tottenham (are interested), but also from Spain and Germany."
Bronzetti says Amauri has also attracted interest from other clubs in the Serie A, adding: "In Italy there are two clubs on him, one in Rome (Lazio

or Roma

) and one in Milan (AC or Inter Milan

) but I cannot say which."
Revelation

Amauri has been a revelation at Parma after struggling for goals while at Juve, scoring just five times in the league in 2009 and only once last year.
Bronzetti has revealed Amauri, a Brazilian-born Italy international, will wait until the end of the season before making a decision on his future.
"In Parma Amauri is proving his worth. He is a champion who has found serenity," added Bronzetti.
"At the end of the season he will decide his next team along with Juventus."

All the effort of Pav, intelligence of Defoe and pace and mobility of Crouch rolled into one. Our super striker!

Sounds like a desperate agent trying to drum up one last bit of interest in his old mare before selling him on to the glue factory...

10 games, 5 goals for Parma, if he was cheap I'd go for it.

He will end up back in Brazil though.

Are you being serious?

Yes. He is definitely as hard working as Pav, he is definitely as intelligent as Defoe and he has all of Crouch's speed and agility. Now think Kish... What is the common link between those three player to attribute relationships?

Good enough for us now but not in the summer?

Still, i'd take him if Harry decided to stick with our lot for another window.

Ah but he has the clinical finishing of Rasiak and the stomach of Mido.

When you say "the stomach of Mido", do you mean it in the same way as "the stomach of Andy Reid" - a kebab induced outgrowth:shrug:

Here's my thought. Juve are preparing to sell off most of their players (I've read stories about Melo, Dave and Thiago) in order to increase their buying power as they rebuild their squad. So I would imagine this story is probably agent talk.
