Yep most of the top journalists on the paper left when they went online. They were used to going out, interviewing people and attempting to find the facts about stories rather than sit and trawl through what others have said to find an angle to spin. Shame as it used to be a very good paper

Completely agree, I really liked The Indy and also thought their sister paper, The I was great at targeting young readers. Shame how it all ended up.

Like most of this jounalist's writing, the article is complete eccentric weirdness, consistent to his other stuff. It's not meant to be offensive, rather it's just him having fun and hoping to take the readers on a fun ride along with him. It's a thousand times more interesting than the vast majority of boring sports journalism out there that could be written by an fan or so-called pundit

Pretty shit "article" so didn't get to the end. Can't really see why anyone would cop the arse with it though.

Always find it quite amusing how he is able to write at article stating “each Korean looked identical to Heung Min Son, so they couldn’t tell who the real Son was.”

He can write this because he is Asian, right?

I didn’t find the article particularly funny. I can see what he is attempting to do - basically going overboard on us being ‘Spursy’.

I don’t get offended by this, or anything else. It’s fine with me.

Anyone with a brain would give our club immense credit for our progress in the last decade. It’s certainly just bitterness in some form.

You rarely find articles slating clubs like Leeds, Sunderland or Villa - who have been a total shambles at various times in the same period.

I’m assuming the OP is being sarcastic - that article was really clever and pretty funny?

I used to love the old Fighting Fantasy books.

Presumably you missed the following sentence describing how he was in a room with 30 deliberate lookalikes, some better than others?

Congrats on making a racist inference from an explicitly non-racist sentence. Everyone’s a victim.

I got all the way to the final then for some ungodly reason took Trippier's advice instead of Alli's.

Gutted.

The image of someone being 'outraged' by this is one of the funniest things I've heard in the while. The article is fucking hilarious. I feel sorry for you.
Right you fucker, I’m now outraged at your ability to pity someone else’s misplaced outrage

The independent is a load of shite anyway, in print or digital. Ignore it. Someone else will soon step up with something similar, we're an easy target as it stands. So there is little point being outraged by this kind of thing as another will be along soon.

It’s like some fans go out of their way to look for something to be offended by. Bloody hell...

The end of option 13 is exactly how I picture things happening should we ever be in that position or us winning the league. Although it happens just before Lloris gets handed the trophy!
