This came up for discussion on the Spurs Show the other day and had me thinking which players have improved under Conte (with the context that many of the squad improved significantly under Poch).
Only ones that come to mind at the moment are Hojbjerg (possible due to the threat from Bissouma) Davies and Doherty which i find concerning.
Did i miss any others?

Alot of them improved when he joined, especially the 2nd half of last season, dier for example getting back into the England squad but he's been absolutely dreadful since.

The usual crop of players we have did their usual though as they do under most of our managers and retreat back into their shells. They just aren't consistent performers.

You missed Dier (until recently), kulu and Bentancur. Son also put up his best numbers ever under conte.

I'm really struggling to name someone other that PEH this season and Dier last season that "improved" under AC. I'm also not taking into account players we know are/have been quality before joining us... largely they're at the same level I think. If anything some players have gone backwards, not played at the same level as under Poch or Jose or as a bare minimum not pushed themselves on from the efforts of last season. I'd say everyone is playing under their ceiling.

This isn't a negging post, but more a reality check, that we're playing a certain way at Conte's choosing for any number of reasons, injuries, not having the players needed, fatigue, the World Cup..

I hope our boys put the WC and the Christmas turkey behind them and pull out a herculean effort for the last 2/3rd of the season.

Don't know of any he has improved. Dier was now forced to play in defence, where Poch always said contrary to Dier, is where he would end up. Under Poch we had better central defenders but sometimes no holding midfield players so he used the versatility of Dier. Davies was always a good player in a back three and less effective as a wing back where Poch was often forced to use him.

Odd really that Poch who improved players, worked with huge budgeting constraints over wages as well as fees gets so much stick. Yes he wanted one or two key players, not being prepared to accept just anyone. Yet Conte who wants a shed load of players, throws hissy fits all the time threatening to walk away every five minutes gets see as some kind of hero by so many deluded people.

Conte is a dud. Goodness look at Newcastle for one and see what a good manager can do with limited player resources. Conte just throws up his hands and moans about everything except himself.

You can only improve average players so much before they hit their ceiling.

I'm not totally convinced Conte is the absolute best fit for us but we absolutely need to back him.

A good number of our players aren't good enough. Endgame Poch couldn't get them to perform. Neither could Mourinho. Nor Nuno, who was out of his depth but the players need to look at themselves on why he failed so quickly.

Conte has us fourth, and we're the third-highest scorers in the PL so far.

As some point we just need to face the reality that the problem isn't the managers, it's the bang average players we still have in the team.

We can't keep replacing the manager and hope somehow these players will turn good. It isn't going to happen.

To end this post by answering the question, I think Conte has instilled a better mentality in many or even most of the players. We aren't flaky now when we go behind (which is always, but that's another discussion).
