If we sold Soldado, Paulinho and Chiriches, how much money do you think we'd get back?

These three players cost us:

Soldado = 26.5 million Pounds

Paulinho = 17 million Pounds

Chiriches = 9.5 million Pounds

Total: 53 million Pounds spent

Now, if we offered each of them to the highest bidders in the August/2015 transfer window, how much would we recoup? Obviously no one has a crystal ball- so for the sake of argument let's assume the positive: let's say that each one of them turned in marginally ok performances over the course of the season: Soldado scored 10-15 goals in all comps, Paulinho 8-10, and Vlad became a non-liability at CB. In that case, out of curiosity- what do you suppose the final figure would be?

Chiriches you could probably around about make your money back.

Paulinho probably has a big enough name/reputation to command £10m or so from somewhere.

Soldado, well who knows. He'll be 30 at the end of the season, cost £20m+ just a year ago and must be on wages around £100k a week. I presume it will be off back to Spain but who could afford him? I reckon we would have to massively knock down the fee so clubs could put together a financial package for the player.

Does this really need its own thread?

I'm wondering what the projected loss will be on these three horrendous buys. It's as if we purchased three David Bentleys in one window- and that player was a total write-off. Since everything these days is about money, I would like to know what the actual numerical damage could amount to. A player being shit is one thing; a player being expensive and shit quite another.

Well probably end up giving him away on a free after he winds down his contract because no one will match his wages. All we can really do at the moment is pray he comes good.
