Straight swap for ndom?

Ndombele is worth far more at this point, multiple years left on contract. I think we'd want around 50m for him and he's also on 200k pw which Lyon couldn't afford.

Aouar would be more like 25-30m if I recall frome earlier in the window. Might have remembered that wrongly.

And yet Aouar will likely get some game time. Sadly Ndombele no longer worth close to 50m and no ones paying anywhere near 200k in wages for him.

Oh no doubt. We're not selling him unless another elite club decides they want him and frankly it's probably well known now in football circles that the kid has an attitude problem so that will also put a lot of clubs off.

Best we can do is ship him out on loan and hope a team will pay half his wages or something or that he gets his act together again. Former seems more likely at this point.

What I like most about him is he has captained Lyon which means hopefully we'd get another leader in the dressing room.

There’s no way anyone is paying that much for Ndombele. We are stuck with him.

Some good song potential with this signing so I am fully on board as we need some new chants

Say ooh ahh Aouar, Say ooh ahh Aouar
Repeat.......

To the chorus of Happy Hour by The Housemartins

He's the best player you'll see
Don't believe us? Oh no
Its Hossem Aouar Agaaain and again and again
It's Hossem Aoauar Again etc.

Sure there are loads more but I'd better do some work for a bit

Get Aouar in and loan them Ndombele, we may have to pick up some of the wages but we then get a functioning player and Ndombele should be happy enough going back to them. Hopefully he then gets some form back and we can sell him after the loan.

Well last time we signed a midfielder from Lyon with attitude problems it worked out well...

Full steam ahead!
